you know, i doubt that the beams/columns come into the equation all that much. obviously this pilot REALLY knows what he's doing (besides having a metallic ballset), and i wouldn't be surprised that he's only got a few hundred pounds or so of weight on those back tires. just enough to keep it down, and no more -- surely not the full weight of the chopper. ar-jedi

Looks kinda dangerous to me....the fire is still burning in the front yard. The rotor wash would surely blow more than a few hot embers around. Start the hut on fire? Looks like a quick pick up...possibly HVT? Two soldiers are holding a third person between them...either to keep from blowing off the roof. or to contain him due to his captured status? Either way, if it was anything other than this, they would have at least threw some dirt on the fire. Yeah...brass cajones on the pilot! I bet he has both hands and all three legs working to keep that bird like that.

A helluva pic! You'all would be amazed at some of the things our pilots can do,and that goes for ALL the branches of our fine outstanding military.

How are you going to set a mud hut on fire from embers?

When I was doing our 2 week drill at Ft.Stewart,we had just come from the fuel depot,we fueled one of our Blackhawks and an active Army Apache, then along comes this Chinook."Hey Donny(my SSgt)we gotta fuel this thing? "Cause if we do,we'll have to go right back to the depot!" Donny said,"Yeah, you do,and and you will have to go back to the depot, and while you're at it stop and get some more beer!"
