I am looking at a preban AR with a Sendra receiver. A freind of mine ( FFL Dealer ) mentioned that they are cast and subject to cracking after alot of use.
Can anyone help me out with some information??

   Pro or Con,

            Thank you,

                       Steve

My sendra M16 is forged and has served me well through thousands of rounds. I recommend them.

If the price is right buy it.  I wouldn't pay over $1000 for a gun with a Sendra receiver on it.  With the ban possibly expiring in approx. 270 days, I'd want to spend even less.

Had a chance at one a while back. Forged, and a steal at the price the guy wanted. Didnt do it, but I should have.If its at a fair price, go for it... John

Love mine, several thousand rounds through it.  It's an A1 configuration and I built my light weight with it.  Only bad thing about it was the finish, very, very purple.  DPMS did the refinish and now it not only works great but looks good too.

Edited to add that mine is forged as well.  Never heard of a cast Sendra.
