Clearing out the safe, I noticed I have a Bushmaster barrel on RRA lower and an Armalite barrel on my Bushmaster lower, a DPMS barrel on a Mega lower, a RRA barrel on a OLY lower, you get the picture.  No brand loyalty what so ever....all my rifles are mutts.  No, it did not happen over night, but hell, didn't think I was that warped.

Anyone esle have a litter of AR mutts?

Hmm...never thought much about it.  But since you mentioned it I realize I have have only one purebred...a NM Armalite.  However, my earlier self built "NM" AR is complete with a bushmaster bolt, carrier, and float tube; DPMS barrel; Olympic upper; Eagle Arms lower; RRA two-stage trigger; with ASA supplied buttstock and lower kit.  Don't know what I was thinking, but talk about Heinz 57.

Mine aren't mutts, they are "custom built" to my specifications. [:D][:P]

I like them better when I build them the way I want.  Which makes them mutt-guns, but whats in a name anyway?

Bushmaster this, Colt that, LMT this.  My mutts are still classy.

Reminds me of my dogs.  Got a lab/who knows what-mix that is smarter than me.  Then I got a "pure bread" yellow lab that is dumber than dirt.  Pain doesn't even get through to this poor bastard...heart of gold though.

It ain't the dog...its the dog's daddy!

Most people think that one manufacturer makes the best stuff.

There is a pretty good chance that no matter who your favorite is, they made something thats on my rifle.

I have all my bases covered.

Four mutts at my house, too. The oddest bird is a 9mm carbine that doesn't have an ounce of Colt or Oly in it - BM lower, RRA upper, JRW mag block. :-)

My rifle is almost as much of a mutt as I am!  Let's compare.

Me:  Norwegian, Swedish, German, English, Irish, Dutch and Cherokee Indian.

Rifle:  ShoeLess Ventures, RRA, DPMS, Bushmaster, Colt and ARMS.

Now all I need is some KAC, Tango Down, Surefire, GG&G and KNS parts. [:)]

How about a 1964 Colt upper on a 1974 Colt lower? A pickleforked mutt on top of a police dawg trade-in lower...

And now you are either married or dating a Scotchish, Spanish, Czech, Japan, Australian, with a touch of Brazilian woman, right?  You're more of a mutt than your rifle.

A mutt....oh yea!

Started out as a Oly Plinker, then came:
RRA lower
RRA faux tele stock
Model 1 flattop upper
Colt M4 handguards
Had KKF turn down my 16' HBAR to M4 profile and install a A3 FFH.
EOTech
Bushmaster CH cut as a BUIS.

Kept the Oly bolt, carrier and fire control group. About as mutt as a mutt can be!

Mutt has such a negative connotation...

I prefer to think of them as a hybrid! [;)]

All my AR's are hybrids!

I was worried my unfired preban Bushmaster lower might have non Bushmaster parts so I gutted it and rebuilt the lower all Bushmaster.  Then I bought all seperate parts for my upper...all Bushmaster, and assembled it myself.  Then I bought Bushmaster Preban Teflon mags for it.

I may have a lot of different accessories on my rifle but at heart it is all Bushmaster.

Bushmaster...better than a Colt.
