I want to try a pair of Warne's 1" Maxima/Magnum quick detach AR15 rings and wanted input on which height ring to choose. Mounting a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44mm scope on a BM 20" VMatch rifle.

They have the 1" Xtra High 203LM ring that is .650" high, or the 1" Ultra High 204LM ring that is .935" high. I am leaning toward the .650" Xtra High rings, since I believe they are closer to the ARMS #22 High ring in height and they worked for me with a #38EX Swan Sleeve on the same BM 20" VMatch rifle before.

Can anyone share experience/thoughts on the choices?

Post here or email me at: cetyson@bellsouth.net

Thanks in advance.

I know the #22 high will work if you put in the 30mm down to 1' inserts, for your 44mm objective lens. Jack

Should have clarified and stated that I have a coupon worth enough to purchase the rings from Warne. I have mounted several 40mm Leupold scopes with the ARMS #22 & #37 30mm:1 inch reducer inserts and know that their height works well - just don't know how high the ARMS #22 High rings measure.

How much is the coupon worth, and how much more do you have to still spend, compaired to getting throw lever rings. My wife always comes home and tells me how much she just saved me at the store, then I'm in trouble and know she prob. spent too much:) Jack

The coupon is for $75, which just about covers the cost of the rings. And these are Warne's Maxima steel throw lever rings, or Quick Detach, as they have named them. I have another set of their Maxima QD rings in medium height for a Rem 700. They are sort of famous in the hard core hunting circles and are excellent rings by any measure. Wondering if anyone knows the height measurement to the bottom ring of a set of ARMS #22 High rings so I can compare?
