OK, this is probably a stupid question, but I have to ask.....

Does the front sight interfere with the view of a scope mounted on a A3 flat-top upper or is the focal point such that the scope "sees around" the front sight ?

I am getting ready to order a kit and am wondering if I should keep the front sight or go with the "gas block" instead.  I do occasionally like to plink with open sights instead of a scope, so I would like to keep the front sight unless it will cause a problem when using a scope.

I do not want to use a elevated scope mount.

THANKS !

If you are going with a 4x or higher power you will not even notice the front sight. I did notice a shadow at 3x but not bad enough I couldn't live with it.
