Hello, I have a couple of new carbines and I would like your reccommendations on ways to mount the slings and which sling you like best? Thanks

Daniel Defense sling mount and CQB MOUT single point quick detach sling.

Got them from C4iGrant.....

Yep, I actually considered that setup, but didn't have a RAS or any forward rails.  I love the H&K style clips...very sturdy.

I reccomend staying away from the tall loop pictured in Shivans post.  I always scraped my knuckle when doing malfunction clearance.  I prefer the low mounted ring for a snap hook.

I saw a lot of troops doing this on the news in Iraq..  so its must not be that bad...

but I have no pic..


One part of the sling goes round the butstock.. the other goes thru the carry handle..
saw video of them doing nothing < just standing around in one of the towns early on>  and it worked great .. weapon just lays there by their side waiting to be used..

It's not as close as it looks.  You must have some awfully meaty hands if you can scrape on that ring using the PRI latch.....I don't even come close and I have fairly large hands.

To each; his own I guess.

go with the single point. i think it is the best setup on the market now.
