I've seen several variations of that for ARs. One had a small lever with a hole for your trigger finger to wind it around.
Still just toys. |

Man, I'd feel like such a dickhead winding that little crank around.
"Quiet on the set!!! Lights... Camera... Dumbass!!!" I've also heard they're pretty expensive ($80 or so) to do the same thing as bumpfiring. |

Seen lots of them at fun shows. Usually at the very back of the floor next to the arts/crafts etc. Some put on a good show with the videos etc at their tables, but they are usually cheap plastic POS... John

Bought one years and years ago when I was younger and less experienced with firearms...Never came close to working, finally wound up mailing it to a friend online for free a couple of years ago because they wanted one pretty badly. Hated to see anyone else waste money on the thing and didn't feel right taking money for it.

My brother bought one at a gunshow to put on his 10/22. I guess there's no reason you couldn't put it on an AR. It fires four rounds with every rotation of the handle, so that's pretty quick. Seems like a waste of ammo, too.
