I'm just not grasping the concept of the a2 sights used on AR'S. I shoot a 16" M4 profile and a 20" standard,both Bushmaster's. With the 16" I can shoot out to roughly 400 yards just by using the tip of the front sight and pretty much hit what I'm aiming at. Same with the 20". In both cases I don't even use the rear sight adjustment other than the two apetures. What am I doing wrong ? I know the rear elevation is there for a reason. How is the rear elevation adjustment brought into the picture and what should my site picture be ? I have to doing something wrong !! Any help ?

I've found the Improved Battlesight Zero by LTC Chuck Santose to be the best technique...
