This thread has probably been done before. Oh well, post anything interesting or run of the mill.

I don't mind showing off my pride and joy!  I love my M4 but this is my all-time favorite AR-15.

Pre-ban Bushmaster XM177E2:

My toy-- I favor A2 stock over the shorty stock-

Let me get my AK set-up sold and then I can buy one, put it together and post a pick.  Trouble is making up my mind between the XM177 or the CAR-15.  Talk to ya' later.  TN.Frank

I'd give My left nut for a 14.5 skinny COLT barrel.
Where did you find that?

Thank you guys very much for the complements. Here is the break down on my little rifle.

Pre Ban PWA lower.
Colt 4 position stock with H buffer.
Bushmaster A1 / C7 upper.
Smith Enterprises Bolt.
Colt Carbine hand guards.
Trijicon night sights
Sling Systems Sling

I feel like I’m forgetting something??

THE BARREL!!

It is a Colt 14.5 inch light weight chrome lined in 1/7 twist. I had a Vortex pinned onto the end of it to make it legal.

I looked for one of these barrels for over two years. I finally gave up and got 14.5 inch M4. Then I went to the Reno gun show and a guy is there selling T-shirts and some AR stuff. He has TWO of these barrels on cobbled together uppers. I did not have the money to get it at the show but I took down his info. When I got home I sold one of my uppers and called him up and ordered this one. I have been looking for another one ever since.

Recently I built the upper you see below. I wanted another one of these 14.5 inch light weight 1/7 barrels. Being unable to locate another one I bought a Colt 16 inch light weight and sent it to KKF to have it cut down to 14.5. It is still 16 inches in the pic.

Every now and then I see these barrels come up on the EE. They are usually priced higher than I want to pay. I got mine for $550.00 for the complete upper with the Vortex (not per. Attached) no B/BC.

Where did you get that scope gunslinger?

JG sales here in AZ, got it about 1990.
Picked it up for $29.00, 4 power with BDC.

Edited to add:
Just checked their web site, and they still sell them.
It does work well, and is a inexpensie solution to those $300.00+ Colt scopes.
