is there any way to install a freefloat tube under your reguar A2 carbine or M4 HGs? I'm kinda thinking of sumthin like the DCM freefloat tube which fits under A2 full-length handguards, except in carbine length. I like the look of the regular HGs and I'd like to keep them.

thanks

Free float means free float. So if you could re-install the std. A2 handguards over a tube,(which you can't) you would eliminate free float and defeat the whole purpose. Jack

I think Klinger's referring to something like this http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/dcm/9349059cga.asp but in carbine length. I've never heard of such a thing.

You might want to contact these companies to see if they make carbine length. These links are to show the products in the Brownell's catalog.
