I had the pleasure to shoot a friends registered
FA AR-15 with his 4" upper on it.

All i can say is WOW...  If you know anyone who has one, try it.  You will never look at an AR type weapon the same way after you crank a couple of 30 round mags out of it.
The sound is incredible.  Really LOUD!!
The coolest thing is the Slap-back from the muzzle blast you get hit with when it fires.

Just make sure that you have your fingers well away from the flash hider when you pull the trigger.

Think i need an SBR now....

I was firing a 4" FA pre '68 Armalite/Colt M16 w/4" upper earlier this year. The fire ball is about 1-2ft!

Damn Trigger!  That looks like FUN!!!

Maybe after the ban goes bye-bye, I'll register my receiver SBR, slap that collapsing stock on it, and get a short barrel.  Just for shits and giggles.

do you have to be 21 to own one of those, or any other SBR?

You have to go through a lot of govt paperwork and expense...$200 tax per weapon, plus mucho paperwork and photos/fingerprints/background checks.
