Rear Echelon, originally.  The new meaning sorta has a San Francisco-ish scariness to it.

BTT'ing a thread will move it to the top of the list of threads, where it's more likely to be seen.

This thread might outta be moved over to the GD area?

Anyway, IBTL is used when the topic posted isn't appropriate and violates board code of some sort (name calling, pointless thread, pictures of the certain type). The members will then bandwagon the thread and type IBTL, meaning the moderator should "Lock" the thread to kill it.

i believe bbl stands for "bull barrel",  correct me if im wrong

bbl. stands for barrel.  It technically refers to a unit of measurement, commonly applied to the brewing of beer.  It is used on ARFCOM as short hand to refer to the thingy that the bullet flies out of.

mostly used to refer to a newbie, but means someone who is posting something controversial just to get a reaction or to stir up something.

Oh and BOG could also be Bug Out Gun meaning gun you grab when the SHTF(what is SHTF now?)

SEC you might see, it means Seeing Eye Cat referring to a guy named Piccolo here that has a cat that he walks around with on a leash with sunglasses in public to come across as blind. He's not. He posts the stories in the GD(general discussion) and they are HILARIOUS!
