I am having MSTN build my upper. Do any of you guys have a preference for either of these lengths of barrels? Would like to shoot minimum of 69 grain out to about 600 yds. Which would you recommend?

I will say that Wes loves the 18" barrel and if Im not mistaken, has ditched all his 16" barrels and replaced them with 18" ones.

18" !!

(By 1963 ArmaLite had reduced barrel length from 20" (AR-15/M-16) to 18" on their AR-18 and later the AR-180 and were still getting 3150fps+ with 55grn in a 1:12 twist barrel.)

If your range is going to be 600 yards, I'd go for the extra 2" of barrel :)
