I've got a 20'bbl bushy v-max that I'd like to put an ARFX Boom Tube stock on.

I know the stock  collapses.

 would I have an illegal weapon if I were to do this ??

If you are talking about installing a collapsable stock onto a postban AR15, then don't do it.  You will be violating the AWB of 1994 by creating a new assault weapon (as of the definition in the law).

You can only add collapsable stocks to preban ARs.

yeah,I had a feeling it was all post-bans, but was gambling on the outside chance it was length-of-the-gun related.
