Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - A1 barrel on A2 upper receiver?

Is it possible to use A1 pencil barrels with A2 upper receivers?  I heard the sight post was different between A2 and A1 models, was wondering if they were still compatible.

Yes you can do this - go to Fulton-Armory.com and you can buy uppers set up this way (their Millenium uppers).

The front sight post is different.  The A1 is round and has 5 detents per rotation vs the 4 of the A2 post.  The A1 is slightly more precises, the A2 provides a better sight picture.
