I need a close-up pic of a Bushmaster V-Match front sight that has been milled off. They don't have much of a pic on the BM website.

Thanks guys!!

Hey Gunslinger, I really apprecite it. I really didn't know if anyone would be able to swing some close-up shots. My front sight assemb. is cut down like that, and I want to try their flip-up sight that clamps down over. Looks like it might be worth trying....

it most definately is. you'll really like the sight.

I guess I'll have to order one Monday. A "smith" talked me into cutting off my front dight assemb. when he mounted a ReflexII. Now being older and wiser, I realize that was a dumb mistake. With this flip-up, and a rear flip-up, I should be set.

Here's 2 views of the setup you're thinking about (I shaved mine with a side-grinder w/ a cut-off wheel, then rounded the edges with a dremel tool). When I tried to zero the sight, I discovered that the hole for the post hadn't been tapped far enough down for the post to be adjusted low enough, so the post had to pretty much cut its' own threads. The fit around the gas block could have been better, too. It's an ok sight once it's mounted I guess, but that was a real disappointment, especially for $100.

Hey everybody, thanks for the good pics. Zardoz, Your pics were greatly appreciated. They give me a real idea of what I am looking for. I guarantee I will never be talked into cutting off a front-sight assem. again!! Hopefully, I won't have a problem with the post like you did.... I will probably use the GG&G A2BUIS or the ARMS #40 for the rear. Then I will be good to go. I am taking a Pat Rogers carbine operators class in Oct., and didn't want to show up with out irons, thereby looking like a dork.
