Hi guys,

Newbie question: What should I use to even out the color on my Colt HBAR II buttstock? The oil has made it quite splotchy. Thanks!

More oil, I am pretty sure! I got an assembled lower from BM that had a clean stock with just a patch of oil color right near the ear sling slot. I just rubbed some CLP into the rest of the stock and it's been a uniform color ever since.

Rub the whole thing down with CLP.

Yep... give the stock a good rub down with CLP using a black t-shirt...

Just take that safe queen out in the dirt and get it all messy.  A nice layer of dust and grim will even the finish out.
