Only break in required for a chrome lined barrel is to shoot it. Shoot it a lot.

Hawkeye's correct, they don't need any special break in, but like any new AR15, it's not a bad idea to take it easy at first to break in the rest of the weapon.

Some where between 200-300 rounds, the barrel will be "broken in", and groups will be more stable.

1) load magazine
2) empty magazine via barrel 3)repeat.................... Shoot it till it's so dirty it won't run, clean it up and shoot some more. Chrome barrel are made to take some serious shit and not need care. Jeezus H Christ, they give em to Marines, dude. Shoot em up. |

HAVING BEEN IN THE MARINE CORPS, I WOULD SAY THAT MARINES DESTROY BARRELS BY OVERCLEANING WITH THOSE SORRY JOINTED CLEANING RODS. THE MARINE CORPS IS TOO CHEAP TO BUY ENOUGH AMMO TO SHOOT ALL THEIR M16'S OUT, EXCEPT FOR CERTAIN UNITS.
