I have access to purchase an All original

This firearm has No blocks to prevent any additions to the rifle.

Also features:

What do you think this is worth?

What would be a good deal?

How is the quality and accruacy of the firearm?

Any advice greatly appreciated

AR15 A2 Govt Model is not a Govt Carbine. The Govt Model is a 20 inch rifle and is more rare than the Govt Carbine. There were approx 18500 Govt Carbines and about 11000 Govt Model rifles made. I have both. The GC is in an M4gery configuration. The GM is in pure factory mode. The Govt Model is one sweet rifle. Don't let anyone kid you. Roll marks matter on preban Colts. The Govt Model is a rare, desirable rifle.

So true, as with the case of my "CC" rifle!(bragging) coolfly, if it is a Gov't Carbine, they are 2,500 and up for just the rifle in that good of condition (and obviously more for extras and accessories).

The Colt AR15 A2 Government Model (Large Piviot Pin! It has the 20 inch barrel, 5.56 Nato/.223, 1 in 7 twist. It is apparently THE sought after AR! Is that correct? The rifle is apparently in original configuration with one 20/5 round mag. This rifle has had less than 1000 rounds through it Options(extras) included are: (1) Spare stripped A2 Colt large pin upper converted to a flat top. Rail extends the entire length of the upper. (2) Armalite front sight base with Picatinny rail. (3) Burris ZEE Rings (High) I am thinking of getting a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x50mm scope with fast focus. Would that complete the package?

Actually, I thought the Colt AR15A3 Tactical Carbine was THE sought after AR. I guess it depends on what you are seeking. I have always liked the A2, but I noticed you still have not mentioned a price.

I'd buy it at that price.

I'm thinking that all of the Government Service Models (R6550 model) have a serial number that starts with "GS." You may want to verify that with the seller. It's my understanding that the Government Service Model was about as close as you could get to purchasing a Colt M16A2 without the "go fast" switch. As to value.... Depends on how badly a buyer wants one. I recently paid $2,000 for a NIB example for my collection that had a very low serial number. I wanted it badly, though, and I'd probably have a hard time replacing it. I've seen 98%+ examples offered for $1,600 to $2,000. If you can verify that it's a true R6550 (Government Service Model) AND that it hasn't been abused, I would think it would be worth on the order of $1,400 to $1,500.

Sounds like a pretty good price, I would get it.
