I'm over at the Model-1 Website getting ready to buy an upper.  I have a choice of 5.56 Nato or 223.  Now I ussually buy my ammo in bulk at the gun show.  I like the South African stuff.

Can somebody tell me what the difference is.

Get the 5.56 it gives you more flexibilty on what ammo you can use. A 5.56 chamber can fire both 5.56 and .223 but not vice versa completely safe. Read the above link or go to the ammo faq.
