I started out with a Sporter Target, then got a Sporter Competition HBAR, and could not shake the bug until I got a Sporter Match HBAR.  Basically, I wanted various versions of the full size Sporter Rifles.

Now I find myself wanting the carbines.

I started out with a Sporter Target to shoot the DCM clinic's with in 1991, now I have a Target, 2 H-Bar's (one converted to a M4gery) and a Comp H-Bar, all from the batch made in 1993 machined for the front take-down pin. I also have a 1980 SP1.

The Post's are the 24" CAR and a 7.62x39 Lightweight car.

I also have most Mfr's of mags including a few waffle mags and the catalogues from 1992 to 1997.

No pictures, but a good place to see different varieties of Colts along their developmental timeline would be at Biggerhammer.net.  You could probably surf on Gunsamerica, Gunbroker, and fjvollmer for pics of different Colt mod's.  Hope this helps.

The AR-15 Complete Owners Guide by Kueleck & Duff has some pic's of Colt's different variants, it's the only thing I have found so far.

He's young [:)]

Hey Jason,  clips are used to load magazines (ie. stripper clips) unless you are talking about an M1 Garand which uses 8 round clips instead of magazines.

Some people around here will jump you for using the wrong term...

EDITED:  Oh yeah... I have an SP1 rifle, two consecutively serialed gold Colt Lady Derringers with the fancy case(impulse buy), and looking for a reasonable SP1 carbine.
