I just received a 16" post ban upper and I've run into a problem. I put 2 different bolts in it and both closed on the NO-GO gauge for 223!

A friend of mine had this problem back say 96-98. As I recall then there was a problem with using the 223 gauges for a 5.56 chamber.

I remember just recently seeing a threat with 5.56 vs 223, but didn't read it at the time. Had no reason to.

Anyway my question is.... Should I get a 5.56 field gauge to make sure it's not ok, or does that make any difference. Is there any difference in the 5.56 vs the 223? I seem to remember reading that the 5.56 was alittle longer than 223, but not that much.

Thanks for any replies and sorry I had to bring up an already addressed issue.
