Get a quality case right off the bat, good move. Is that a # 1700?
Only use the case for transport, do not store the carbine in there. You probably knew that. You want to cut the foam in my Pelican Cases? It looks kinda crappy when I do it. [:(] |

That's the first green Pelican case that I've ever laid eyes on. Congrats on your first AR. One warning......the damn things are like Lay's potato chips.......you can't have just one!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww, Man! You messed up the foam! I'll bet you could have gotten AR's in that case!
All kidding aside, great rifle, great case. Yeah, is OD a new color? I have seen only black, silvery gray, yellow, and orange. |

Welcome from Germany. Nice rifle and case. I had a large green pelican case last time I was here in Germany in 88-90'. Come to think of it 88' was when I built my first AR.

Is that a # 1700? Yes, it is the 1700 Travel Vault. OD green is a new color and it had to be shipped from the factory directly. Fell-Off-Truck, The 1700 does not come with the pluck foam as said on their website. I just used a very sharp Henkl knife because I did not have a electric cutting knife which is what Pelican recommends. Again, thanks for the welcome. |
