For the past few days, every time I want to access the ar15 forum  I must log in. What about you?

i used to.
under the profile option, check "auto login"

works for me.

i think it's all about "cookies"

It's all about bandwidth. With the murders in Md/Va. there has been a lot of lurkers tying up the boards. GB is only allowing 1,000 lurkers at a time. Otherwise, if you want in you must register and log on.

Call me selfish, but if it speeds up the site for members, I'm all for logging in each time.

The real reason is the government wants to track future snipers!

Thus, they need to know who is reading what!

There is a whole division of feds monitering who's reading what and building a data base of that info!
