I think that would be importing magazines which are over 10 rounds. The 1994 "assault weapon ban" banned importing anything over 10 round mags. I remember some debate on if magazines were manufactured before 1994 they could be imported. Not sure on that. You might want to check with US customs before he tries to bring them across.

At the very minimum, you'd need an import permit, and an affidavit from the manufacturer that the magazines were made before 9/13/94.
Note that your costs for complying would make your mags VERY expensive. Importers only bring in stuff in caselots for this reason. -Troy |
