Nikon will be launching a few scope models with an illuminated reticle. A 3.5-10x50 and 6.5-20x44 with 5 brightness settings and switchable from green or red. Illuminated reticles are becoming increasingly popular and now you will have a few more options in the upper end of the scale. The 6.5-20 is sure to be a hit with the Varmint crowd.
Burris is adding many new scopes to their line up, including a new Black Diamond with the T-Plate coatings. Available in 2.5-10x50 and 4-16x50. A new 4-16x50 is also added to the Mr.T Titanium scope line. The big news is the new Signature Safari 1.75-5 with its all new optical system and long eye relief. Should be a big hit with dangerous game hunters. An new 6x32 HBR II scope will be added to the FUllfield II line and man is it a good looking scope. Good news for hand gun shooters. Burris is now offering its Ballistic Plex in the 2-7 and 3-12 hand gun scopes.
Biggest news from Bushnell is the new 10x40 Tactical scope. It will be under the Elite 3200 platform with a 30mm tube, oversized target knobs, matte finish and a mil-dot reticle make this scope a sure winner.
Pentax adds to its new Whitetail Unlimited line with a new 3-9x50 and a 6.5-20x50. Often over looked scope line that you should be looking into.
Redfield resurrects the Aurora Catadioptic 30x, 7", 13 oz. spotter. It is the smallest, lightest spotter made. Look for a new roof prism binocular line too that is water-proof. They add to the scope line by offering the all new Precision Illuminator long range scopes. It will be a single model (6.5-20x50) available in three finishes with target knobs.
Simmons updates the Pro-Hunter line with the new Pro-Hunter SE models. Big news in their binoculars with the new Aespherical, Bak4 roof prism Expedition line. ALso look for a high powered line up of new Endeaver binoculars and spotters.
Steiner offers some new additions to the successful Predator line up of binoculars. The models include a 8x32, 10x30 and 12x30.
Weaver will be expanding the Grand Slam binoculars to include two new phase coated, roof prism compacts. 8.5x25 and 10.5x25. Weighing only 14.8 ozs. they will be a welcome addition to your shirt pocket.
Trijicon will be debuting the all new Tri-Power Tactical sight this spring. The unit is powered by batteries, tritium and fiber optics to make sure you always have an illuminated reticle no matter what the conditions. Also a new 5.5x ACOG that is due to ship soon.
