Silencer Shop is proud to announce that we are now processing Form 1's for customers. Incredibility simple to use with only a few steps you can submit a Form 1 for a SBR, SBS, AOW, or homemade silencer in less than 5 minutes. An ATF Form 1 is the form to fill out if you are intending to create your own NFA Item. For most of us, that means transforming an existing AR lower receiver into a "Short Barreled Rifle." This form can also be used if you are creating a Short Barreled Shotgun or intending to create your own silencer at home. To file a Form 1 through Silencer Shop, the process is simple. If you already have a customer account with us and we have all of your registration information, all you need to do is: 1.Purchase an "ATF Form 1 Service" for each item you intend to Form 1 ?Don't forget to purchase a Tax Stamp as well 2.Follow the link in the email you receive to fill out your firearm details ?You will receive this email within moments of your order confirmation 3.Submit the firearm you just entered to our ATF review staff ?After you have entered your firearm details, you will need to confirm that is the correct selection by clicking the "submit" button 4.Sign your completed Form 1 after it has been reviewed via an automatic DocuSign email ?Our ATF compliance staff will look over your order and make sure everything looks good before we send it to you to sign. You are still responsible for the accuracy of the information entered. If you have never purchased a silencer through our Powered By Silencer Shop program, you'll need to submit your fingerprints, passport photo, etc.. Lucky for you, we've got a super simple process for doing this. Check out our How To Buy A Silencer page for details on our SID Kiosk system and Mobile App! |

I put in some form 1s for 2 suppressors. There is the section for Name and Address of original manufacturer, but there is none so I put N/A. Is this okay?
There are other cases where this might apply such as building an SBR from an 80% receiver or other weapon types where the maker is building from scratch. |

Awesome work guys. I've got a lower that I'm going to try this out on.

I remember discussion about the One Shot Trusts when they were debuted, but rather than search (and since others might be interested as well), I was curious about the Trust naming conventions.
Since it's got to be engraved on the Form1 item, how does the Trust name get determined? Is there a way to set a base name for each account (Say, Nightowl, then first trust is Nightowl 1 Trust or whatever.) |

[#6]
Saw this thread, filled out a the information for the F1 and then got the announcement email after the confirmation
Also have the same question about the single shot trusts. |
|
[#8]
For Single Shot Trust the trust will be named your serial number and trust. So example: 1234zx Trust

I was talking to my dealer about you guys, and had emailed you through the site about him (Action Firearms in Fort Lauderdale, FL), but he's always a bit over worked, so not sure if he'll ever get in touch with you guys to check into details about getting set up as PowerBy or kiosk or whatnot. There are a couple kiosks within driving range though, so may give it a shot next SBR. Need to pay off current stuff a bit first though. :) |

So what's with the QR codes of movie quotes in on the form 1?

If you are on the fence about using Silencer Shop for filing your form 1, all I can say is, do it. This was so easy I thought I had left something out.
It took maybe 5 minutes to enter my information online and maybe another 10 minutes to enter my fingerprints and personal information at a kiosk. Now that all of my info is saved I can see more form 1 submissions as well as a couple of form 4's in my near future. This is going to get expensive. |

With Iowa set to legalize SBRs July first I have a couple of things I plan to form 1. Just two questions,
1. Is it possible to use the form 1 service with an existing trust? Is there the ability to upload a copy of my singed trust during the process. 2. I have an 80% that custom engraved I would like to SBR. It has a model, serial number, and trust info engraved on it. Would it be possible to use the form 1 service for it? |

I bought a few cans from Y'all about 5-6 years ago Silencer shop did all the NFA paperwork with my trust I got from Sean Cody.
If I Form 1 a few lowers through y'all do you still have/ can you use my old trust and just add these to it?? |

I got an email asking for corrections on the manufacture name and address. My fault for using an 80%. Got the email late Friday so the process was put on hold through the weekend. But overall it was easy and will do again when I form 1 something else. |

You guys rock...seriously rock. This is even better than the original ATF eform 1. I just submitted one in 9 minutes, from start to finish... and that was taking time to google the importers address...
..However, it hasn't been without a little turbulence. A few days ago, I dropped my first form 1, and I was notified that since I listed my son as a trustee, he would need to send in prints and photos. As much as I'd like to do that, I can't right now... so I bought an unlimited single shot (since it does not need to be notarized). I dropped a new Form 1 today, and it still associated my form 1 to the old trust, not the new unlimited single shot. It would be cool if I could manage that stuff in an 'account' page, or something. Right now, I'm in the middle of an email exchange with Heather, who doesn't seem to understand what I'm asking. Y'all still kick ass, though. |

We are working on a better solution for people that want to bounce between their regular trust single shot. Send me your order number and I'll get it fixed.

|
[#33]
I didn't want to bounce, I wanted to replace.
My number is 2128262. Thanks. You guys do rock... 9 minutes. Freakin' amazing. |

As I marvel at the awesomeness that is the Silencer Shop eForm 1, I was wondering: Are you able to submit to ATF electronically, or do you have to kill a shit-ton of trees? It seems like it would be much better for them to receive them electronically, as it would save all that data entry...
Feel free to not tell me, I realize you might not want to say. |
|
[#37]
We are the same as everyone else. We have to submit by paper. So we send giant boxes to the ATF daily.

I want to SBR my MP5 clone, do I need to buy ATF form 1 service, Tax stamp and single shot trust? Do I use the kiosks first to set up an account before buying anything?

You need to make sure you are in their system; meaning fingerprints and photo. The photo is easy, download their app and take a selfie. Fingerprints are either finding a dealer with a kiosk, or mailing a set of cards to them.
..but after that, yeah, what you said. |

|
[#47]
Section 3c. is a physical address if you have a PO box as your main address. There is some debate as to wither the ATF will mail an approved form to a PO Box but from the sources that we have that does not seem to be an issue. The issue is where there is not a physical address as well in 3c.

Would you be allowed to resubmit without having to pay for the form 1 service again? |
|
[#49]
Yes if there is an error because of that then you would receive a letter. It would give you 30 days to correct the issue. In which time you would contact us and we would handle it. There would not be an additional charge.
I'm fairly certain that we use your physical address on the other section but I will verify today. |

How long does it typically take for the SS rep to review F1’s?
Not being impatient, but it’s my first time using your F1 program and wondering if I missed a step. |
