Really prefer two stage but anything Geissele will be kickass.

I'm committing to at least one, when does the pre-ordering begin?

25 triggers will be built this week. First prototypes are 4.5lbs and very crisp single stage. Short reset and overtravel. We are aiming for reliability which is not a hallmark of the other triggers which were made for this gun. Will need to get a bunch of rounds downrange to test these bad boys!! I don't think that is the Geissele hammerpack. It might be coming from a guy in Austria who was trying to reverse engineer the 2020 pack. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Going to just leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEy1nDTYzhk&feature=youtu.be "Powered by ALG & Geissele" I don't think that is the Geissele hammerpack. It might be coming from a guy in Austria who was trying to reverse engineer the 2020 pack. I'm not sure about that. It does say "Powered by ALG & Geissele" in the video. So he's either infringing on the Geissele trademark, or this is probably it. He could be doing a 2020 pack he designed, but with a Geissele trigger inside it, but I don't think Geissele would allow him to use his trademark name like that, without permission. I don't think I can take a bolt off a Colt AR, put it on mine, and market it saying it's powered by Colt, without their blessing. I suppose it's possible this is a parallel developed product with Geissele support, but It would seem odd for Geissele to independently try to develop an AUG trigger at the same time supporting Corvus to do so as well. This trigger looks different than anything I've seen before. Not sure... but I think this may be it. All in all, I think this is a pretty exciting video. Thanks for posting it Ghent. Also there are numerous other interesting AUG related items being developed. I'm particularly interested in the shell deflector. My only hope is that prices are reasonable (well, and that it works - but if Geissele's name is on it, it'll work). 2 stage trigger - 5.75 lb. I tend to prefer 4.5lb, but I can totally work with that - a 2-stage 5.75 lb AUG trigger would be an excellent improvement indeed! I'd be curious to see if it needed a stronger 1'st stage pull to reliably reset the trigger - compared to an AR, and the break on the second stage is fairly typical adder to the 1st to 2nd stage break on his regular AR triggers. |

The Aug trigger is still on the table. It is currently in the prototype phase but there is not timeline of when it will be available.

Thanks for the reply.
After installing the S3G in an AR it's all I want to shoot. The Steyr rarely gets touched. Please don't give up on it! |

Hopefully we'll see it being made here soon. I don't own a AUG. But as soon as you guys get a trigger pack for it, I'm buying it regardless. Until I can afford the AUG. |

Here's a guess:
Geissele has a pack that works but is making sure it's perfect for the F90 before it goes out the door for the rest of us. F90 will need compliance parts, and a hammerpack and trigger would take care of most of the 922(retarded) regulations. Makes sense to me having an OEM contract with the Australians. That would enhance Geissele's position as a company. |

View Quote While I respect the hell out of maleante as the king of all things AUG, and suspect he knows more than he's telling , I'm going to hazard my own guess.... Geissele has a pack that works fine but the prototypes all use AUG hammer pack housings (like the 2020HTM did) and those aren't available alone, so Geissele is waiting/searching/developing their own housing. I'm not a mechanical engineer, and I'm a little mystified that in the 21st century this isn't a "scan a few with laser beams and develop a 3D model" thing, but history strongly suggests making your own AUG hammer pack housing can't be trivial. |

Remember that 80's movie "Back to the Future"? Remember how in the dance-hall, when Marty's mom was losing interest in his dad, due to Marty being there? And Marty started to fad away, due to the paradox of changing the past?
That fading away; that's pretty what happens to all AUG replacement trigger projects. "This project is totally going to happen!.. " annd then Mr's McFly loses interest. |
