I have only one suggestion.
Y'all have premium quality parts for the ambi safety and the detent pin, which all come with the B.A.D.-A.S.S. package, the only one small thing that I would recommend would be to add a premium spring to the package. While I have never heard of a safety selector spring failing, I have a sneaking suspicion that the springs bought with kits for the safety aren't of the highest quality. Again I have not had a problem or even heard of a problem in this particular area, but with every other piece of the selector safety of such high quality I think a Wolff brand or Sprinco spring would make a complete upgrade from the standard mil spec safety, detent pin, and spring. Other than that everything is outstanding. JRHeikk |

Thanks, we have talked about it among ourselves, we will revisit the issue again. If it happens, it'll be the end of May when the pricing restructure takes place.
Basically, the third lever that comes with our three lever kit will be optional, and standard kits will contain two levers. We will continue carrying and selling kits with three levers, our dealers will do the same, the two lever selector kit will be $60 (present price for the three lever kit), and the three lever kit will go up in price. As we don't do anything half measure, it will be a good spring. If we do decide to include it, it will be available (at no charge) to all existing customers who have bought our kits that did not come with it, if they request it. We did this with the PIP1 (product improvement program) which started to include the KNS stainless steel detent |

Suggestion.
Make Selector for the Colt M16 (M4 Enhanced) 4-way Safe, Semi, Burst, & auto. Like many that own a Transferable M16, they have the selector stops. There are currently two types of 4-way kits out there, the Colt and DPMS. The Colt selector requires removal of the stops the DPMS doesn't but I don't think it's compatiable with the Colt kit. I've thought about getting the 4-Way kit and just modifying the selector some how so it will clear the selector stops. Then I remembered that you guys make selectors :-) Hopefully I'm not being too confusing but if you have any questions or if you are going to do this I would like to know. Thanks!! |
|
|
We have thought about the 4 way selector. Seems to me that many that have bought the 4 way kit all have switched back to the 3 way?

From what I read the ones that switch back have used the DPMS 4 way. A lot of us haven't been able to use the Colt 4-way since it won't clear the selector stops, who really wants to grind them down on a transferable LOL |
|
|
So the underside of the levers need to have clearance for the selector stops? I thought Colt receivers didn't have selector stops...

Safe at 270, Semi at 315, Burst at 0, Full/auto at 45 I thought Colt receivers didn't have selector stops... Most of the transferable Colts I see pictures of have selector stops. You can check out the M16's at Ruben Mendiola's website of the 9 listed 2 don't have selector stops but they are rolled marked AR15. Mine is a Olympic Arms Paws and it has selector stops. My answers in green. |

We thought about making a relief cut under the standard and short levers, but we didn't like the idea of model specific levers. With the M16 selector, its levers are in fact different, but we didn't have a choice.

Thank you! We love surprises
Couple of unofficial rules: 1. If a customer orders a patch, hat, magnet, swag is automatically thrown in 2. If a customer requests a drawing on the package, swag is automatically included 3. Repeat customers always get swag 4. Mention ar15.com, or any clever message in shipping instructions = swag A customer asked us to draw a monkey fighting a shark on the box, well I'm no artist so I cobbled this up for him |

You're doing great! So you've conquered the Ambi safety, what's next? any chance you'd tackle triggers, bad levers, mag releases, QD attachments?
Thanks, Don |
|
|
fishjeep, we'll have couple of new products to announce soon
Re: QD attachments, as is our practice, if we can't design something better than what's available, we simply carry them on our site. The latest product we carry is the Mission Adapted Design (MAD) Hook Up: This is for folks that either don't want to replace existing parts, or can't do so because of department policy. The Hook Up is a simple and elegant design that works on either commercial or milspec receiver extension (sorry not on MP15-22), it has a good standoff distance between the receiver and stock to allow free movement of the rear sling hook. We recently introduced the MP15-22 selector: The selector center is longer than the .223/.308 version of our selectors, to accommodate the wider 15-22 receiver. Its levers are interchangeable with the center fire version |

Roger, is there a possibility you can add an option when ordering on the website to choose and include only two levers (for those of us that have already settled on our lever choices) without having to pay the extra amount for the three lever set up?

Yep, it'll be on the new site, once the new website is up, there'll be options galore
Until then, we encourage buyers to purchase from dealers (Browneslls, ar15.com, Rainier Arms, LaRue Tactical, etc.), as the two lever kit is available there |

I deal with Roger Wang when I have a question or need to purchase a BAD product. Roger is fantastic. I deal with a lot of companies that cater to the firearms industry on a daily basis and none are as customer service friendly as Roger and BAD. All of my current builds, and any future builds, will contain as much BAD equipment as possible because of Roger's above and beyond service. Thanks Roger.

Roger,
Bought two of your MATECH sight bracket and screw upgrades and WOW...they are awesome. MUCH better than the stock parts, big, beefy BAD ASS parts. Folks you have a MATECH BUIS, you NEED it--PERIOD. BUY NOW. Only thing I would add to your website and instructions is the size allen wrench you will need to install. That's it. A suggestion not a complaint at all! Shipping was FAST, Customer service was freaking SIERRA HOTEL! I didn't even use a military discount I was eligible for....it is THAT good and plus I forgot to ask. AMBI selectors will be next soon. and love the free sticker.... PFC Shane |
|

Thanks Shane, we might just buy some wrenches and include them, though the sight itself didn't come with it.
Merry Christmas, and than you for your service! |

Minor suggestion, adding a button on the top of your homepage that takes you directly to the store instead of having to select a product, then clicking order now. I could be blind but I didn't see a direct link on the homepage.

Just an idea for you. I have you selectors on all of my rifles, they are great. I am right handed left eye dominant so I shoot rifles left handed. I basically make all my rifles ambi for that reason. Others do for
shooting in tight spaces etc. I also equip my sticks with the Raptor charging handles, another excellent product. I see you offer a combo on that package. I also use an ambi mag release (Norgon) on all my sticks. See where I'm going with this. You could make a complete lower Bad Ass Ambi Kit. Just a thought. |

Have you guys ever thought of making an FA kit? I only ask because they all look the same. Would be nice to see something different. That's all I got. Thanks! |

Thanks! FA, as in full auto? We have a bundle with the Geissele SSF and our M16 selector, we're not ready to get in the bolt carrier business yet

Have y'all ever thought of making a ambi-charging handle? I know you carry the rainier arms raptor but I think it would be cool to see something from y'all Seems like if y'all put your great engineering minds to that task you could come out with something great, plus I've got a little idea of my own that I would be happy to share if your at all interested (btw I'm in no way an engineer like you are, I'm just a mechanically minded guy with tooooooo much time on his hands )
|
|

We were working on one until the Raptor came out, it's pretty hard to beat that so we'll just be happy to continue our support of AXTS and Rainier Arms

I think it would just dilute the market with another product with minor differences and marginal improvement (hard to beat the AXTS). Sure we would sell them even if they compete with the Raptors, but we're good friends with the folks at AXTS and Rainier Arms, this business is all about people, it's something money can't buy

I think it would be awesome if you guys made the BAD-EPS for the AR-10.
I have a Ruger SR-762 that would love a set of your pins to go along with the selector switch. |
