I want to build the nearest thing to a race-gun that I can, which means that I will need to fasten a REALLY good brake to a 16" medium-heavy contour barrel (not bull or even close, but not featherweight either). I would prefer a threaded barrel, to which I can fasten a brake using the blind-pin method (pin and brake are welded in place, but barrel remains relatively untorched). I don't want a bayonet lug and a picatinny rail would be great on the gas block. I would want the receiver to be FN if possible. This will probably be mated to a Cav-Arms lower. Can ya help me out?
BTW Considering a JP brake unless someone knows of one that is lighter and equally effective.
Is there any way of getting the newly welded brake re-parked to maintain snazzy looks?
Taking all suggestions on what optics to use. Combinations would be nice because I will need to be both accurate and fast at long and short range. If I can use magnified optics with something that is faster close up, that would be optimal.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.
