I believe after some deburring it may be fine. It did have some really ugly machine marks left in the mag well which prevented feeding. Most are still present as I only deburred and polished the area leaving large gouges on the brass as it fed. This is gone now after the debur and polish.
I used 5 different mags after deburring and polishing the rail. I shot 340 rounds this weekend. The two steyr made mags run 100%. The DSA mag works decently, I had a few problems out of that one. An Israeli mag which gives me problems when loaded to capacity. The last mystery mag just doesn't run at all.
Ive got about 550 rounds through it now. Definitely better than it was when I first got it.
Here is a few pics before I deburred anything.
As you can see the rail is very uneven on both sides. Another thing I am wondering about is if the barrel face has enough of a bevel to chamber the rounds efficiently. Some pics of barrel faces I have seen on the net shows much more of a bevel than my rifle has.
At any rate I have deburred and polished the areas that were obviously hindering feeding. It now no longer gouges the brass like it use to. Hopefully everything will be fine. I wish it would run better with the DSA mags and Id stock up on them. But it seems this rifle only likes styer mags
