Figures, just after I caved and got that MCX. Oh well...take my money!

Curious as I have seen videos of people stopping by PSA but no mention or even a glimpse of the jakl. Must not be out on the floor yet or not at shotshow?

It's here. Played with it a bit today. Seems good and solid. Perhaps a bit heavy. I'll still probably buy one when it comes out, but I'm loving my FM-15

Would you say heavier or lighter than a MCX of the same length?

|

I know it's probably asking a lot right now but is there a general ETA on x39 uppers for a ks47 lower? Seems like it would be a near perfect setup.

Turns out we’re not in a single dystopian novel. We’re in all of them simultaneously.

Can we get a list of which Binary triggers work with the Jakl and which ones do not work with it?

View Quote I'm gonna guess that triggers which do not rely on the bolt carrier for anything other than cocking the hammer are good to go. This would be the BFS3 family. Triggers that rely on the specific geometry of an M16 BCG, such as the Fostech Echo or FRT-15 will probably not work. The JAKL carrier is almost definitely not the same dimensions with respect to where the "trip" would be for the locking bars on those triggers. |

Interesting, I cannot find any videos about the JAKL besides the short piece in the shotshow official videos. It seems everyone who stops by their booth does not see a JAKL to fondle or discuss.

So its like an ACR upper?

I would say that it’s like an ACR bolt carrier with a fixed AK gas piston.
I probably put 400 rounds through one today. It’s pretty sweet. |

Blackout is to be 7-8” and 5.56 will be 10.5. Hopefully they make an 11.5 version as well. I’m sure whatever they do, someone will be unhappy. Whatever they put out as long as it’s reliable and accurate can be either modified or a v2 can have different features. |

Fingers crossed for a compelling gun at a must-own price that proves out well in testing. I imagine the price will drop after the first run is out and feedback starts coming in. Hopefully they don't gen it out. |

I’d like a 14.5 or 16 version down the road. The 10.5 is cool and I’ll probably grab one despite the brace thing looming.
Spent entirely too much money with psa but as long as they keep coming with cool affordable guns I’ll be buying most of them. |

I’d like to preorder this upper if it’s close and an AK pistol in 5.56 that takes AR mags.

Is anyone going to PSA's "The Gathering" in March? The Jakl should be there.

Does anyone have experience with the 7.5 300blk XCRs? Just learned about these this morning and I may pick it up if the 300blk Jakl isn't out by the end of summer. Their site has a warning about running a suppressor without subsonic 300 blk. I was hoping to find something that could run subs and supers reliably.

View Quote The XCR-L Micro and Mini are our most compact XCR-L models. They both are designed to accept 7.5” barrels. Their overall length is the same (about 18.25” with the stock or arm brace folded). The only difference is the Micro has a shorter upper receiver which exposes the gas block; and the Mini has a longer upper which covers the gas block. The gas block on either can be adjusted with the tip of cartridge. Calibers that work well with the Micro and Mini are 5.56, .300 BLK, and 7.62×39. Note: If you want a longer barrel now or in the future, you are better off buying the Standard model. Also, unless you’re shooting subsonic .300 Blackout, the Micro and Mini are not recommended for use with a suppressor unless it’s a flow-through suppressor or one with very little back pressure. Here's the owner talking about suppressing a 7.5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPk4o42he0Y&ab_channel=RobinsonArmamentCo. I own a 7.5 300BLK XCR. All my cans are still in jail though. The XCR has a great trigger, superior ergonomics, and is every bit the equal of my Virtus. My only trepidation is that some people have said that the barrel can be thrown out of alignment, as it is only secured at one point. Hasn't happened to mine though. Here's the owner... hitting it with a hammer?!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KN-BdRZFxGc&ab_channel=RobinsonArmamentCo. |

And IIRC yesterday was media day so all the industry guys probably wont get video unless they stay longer. So obnoxious. The first videos they posted on their own YT channel were featuring other companies. Sick of waiting for this thing. And of course the 300blk model probably won't make an appearance. Complete let down. |

I was All Set to buy a JAKL... last year. They never went to production, so I bought something else, and another... and the damn thing still isn't out, and supposedly won't be 300 BLK in first release from what I last read.
WTF PSA? |
