I’m really glad the name settled in on Dagger instead of DAGR.
Apart from availability issues, I’m seeing this as an absolute win. |

Quoted: At $299 or less, it should be competitive. With the $350-$400 good 1911s coming out of the Philippines, I think that's why the $699 PSA 1911 failed. As for me, if the $299 PSA Glock clone is proprietary parts like their AR10, I don't like the idea PSA is the sole source of repair parts. jmho A $299 9mm or 45, and maybe even a $399 10mm would be great..... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I dont think that will be the case Pricepoint will drive a lot of sales alone Glock/Striker market is WAY bigger than the 1911 market (especially in the scope of PSA customers) This will be huge IMO At $299 or less, it should be competitive. I'll eventually buy one just to support PSA, but having to add a trigger to get rid of that hinged abomination brings it up into Glock blue-line prices.
Does this fit a Glock 19 holster like the old S&W SW9/SW40, or is this a unique profile? Wondering if it will work in my Safariland G19 tactical holster. |

the holster fit is crucial, and why I won't buy a Polymer 80 or any other pistol I can't easily get a holster for

Quoted: the holster fit is crucial, and why I won't buy a Polymer 80 or any other pistol I can't easily get a holster for View Quote You can easily get a holster for a polymer 80, just not a good active retention holster. The P80 frame can be modified to fit the ALS, but that probably voids any warranty. Polymer 80s customer service kinda sucks anyway, so it might not make much difference. |

Quoted: me too! me three! I'll wait until they test and beat the shit out of them, figure out the bugs, and are readily available. But, I'll deal with whatever trigger comes in it as long as it's not horrible. See below about holsters. me neither! :) They said it won't fit G19 holsters. But I bet it does depending on the slide width. Trigger housing looks slightly shorter than G19, but almost the same inside front part of the trigger guard. Only thing would be a wider trigger guard and wider slide width. Slightly wider trigger guard width is one thing, width of slide does make a difference on hard kydex holsters. A G21 (1.12" slide width) won't fit into a G22 (1.0" slide width) Safariland 5198 and Safariland 747 or Galco Triton holsters and the G22 is loose in the G21 holsters. Some softer Kydex holsters, the common IWB holsters, might have a little more give. Like I said in another thread, I'm not buying anymore holsters. Buy the time you by two or three holsters for it, you're almost cheaper buying another Glock, if you can find them nowadays. But that said, I'll probably get one anyway to support PSA after people punish the hell out of theirs'. I'm sure they'll find some small bugs and PSA will get them corrected and fixed up. Can be expected, if not, Great! If you're not a Glock-person and just getting into this-type of pistol, I think this is a great option that PSA is producing for $299. To make a polymer 80 fit, you have to do a bunch sanding to the frame, their slides are fine in most holsters for a G19. |

View Quote I'm mostly a Glock and S&W .40 and .45 guy, so the P80 never really interested me much. I just ordered a G19, but I am going to get a Dagger, well because. So I got time to wait for the Dagger to become regularly available. My brother was going to get G19s, but if all goes well, he'll most likely get two Daggers instead for him and wife. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But I hate waiting... Hurry up PSA and put these bad boys out to the masses |

I also think holster fit is vital. I seem to collect guns with very limited holster options. It's not a complete deal breaker, but it would maker it lower on my list.

Didn't know these were a thing.... Now I need several.
When they're in stock, how quickly are they selling? |

May have been 25 or 250, but they were gone in minutes. My guess is it will be a year or more before inventory catches up enough to buy casually |

It is the trigger guards on both the P80 and Dagr that are different and also why neither will fit into a holster designed for a Glock. IF you look closer at the photos that meNmyARs posted, the guard is lower (more room between it and the bottom of the trigger) on the Dagr versus the Glock. The trigger guard on the Dagr looks like a cross between the Glock and P80 trigger guards.

Is there an ETA on the version without the glock grip angle? Or is that not happening?

Quoted: Is there an ETA on the version without the glock grip angle? Or is that not happening? View Quote Q: What is the PS9 Dagger Basic Model grip angle? A: Chad Wylie said, "The ergonomics of the grip is an improvement in my opinion. It isn't a massive change but it does have a better feel and points a little closer to that of a 1911. As Dusty stated, the addition and geometry of the backstrap improves the overall feel of the gun." At SHOT Show, there was talk of a "Custom Series" with a 1911 grip angle. I'm not sure what's become of that. |

Is it just me or does the Dagger look cheap and poorly made? In the pics on PSA's website you can see light between the frame and slide. I also don't like the cutout on the bottom on the grip where the mag meets. Looks like a strait copy of the Glock and Taurus G3 but bad quality. I own a G3 and I am very happy with its looks, quality, and performance. Only thing I would change on the G3 is a better rear sight.

I'll probably still pick one up anyway, but man. There's no good reason to only have one mounting slot these days, especially on a semi compact.

Just curious if anyone who actually managed to snag a Dagger off the site at launch has had theirs shipped yet?
Seeing "Processing" next to this order as the status everyday makes me sad. And, let's face it, no one likes a sad OWD. |

@josiah - trying to get my email listed on backorder and it won't take it. Yes it's a valid email as it's the one I used to sign in, and I was a dealer for you. Can you add my name to list so I can get on it to buy it?

They jacked the price up on glock gen 3’s to sell more dagger
Gen 3 glock 19 699$ on sale for 599$ |
|
...I don't think that's the reason. I mean, they literally can't make them fast enough already for one. For two? I bought mine because it is PSA, not because it is a Glock style 9MM. I normally prefer .40 cal handgun. I had to hunt down some decent 9mm ammo just because I bought this gun. lol

Palmetto State Armory - Columbia, SC - For Immediate Release
At Palmetto State Armory we dedicate every working hour to ensure the delivery of quality firearms with a 100% Full Lifetime Warranty and a price that makes them most accessible to law abiding Americans. We have found inconsistencies in a part arriving from a supplier for the production of the Dagger. While the sample batch we produced prior to mass production both tested well and met our criteria, as we went into full production our team discovered discrepancies in the part we received. That difference meant our standard was not being met. While we are working with that supplier to correct their issue we do not feel comfortable shipping the first batch until the corrections are made. Anyone who has purchased a Dagger will be offered the chance to hold their place in line and receive a free threaded barrel upgrade or receive a full refund. We apologize for the delay and we are grateful for your patience as we move forward. Palmetto State Armory American Made. For Life. |

@PalmettoStateArmory is the delay going to affect the release of your other varieties of dagger pistols?
I feel like this is a dumb question as the answer seems like it would be obvious, but hopefully your suppressor ready variant is coming sooner rather than later since that's the one I'm after |
