Quoted: Seems that the HK pattern weapons are the latest craze. In the past 3 months I have seen ALL of the less than $70 HK factory magazine supplies run out. I guess I should have not been posting those $62 deals on Grab A Gun. But then I find posts made a few months earlier where they were selling for $50 View Quote |

Lulz. Here's one of my first groups, 15 yards, rapid fire, kneeling, during the beginning of the break-in period of my "paki junk" MP5. One flyer. My fault. Pretty sure I was using that cheap aluminum cased Federal stuff. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/42439/KD1ZoyC_jpg-1185782.JPG View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It's also made by a state-owned weapons manufacturing firm in a country that actively supports terrorists who murder US servicemen, so I am constantly surprised and disappointed that people on this board buy from them with such glee. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Edit: on second thought, this isn't the forum or thread for that post. GD thread made. Sorry PSA for cluttering up the thread.

Sadly, the wife has restricted me to 1 gun per caliber... so I got rid of my AKV(v2) in favor of my Scorpion. Enjoyed bump firing the AKV, but the sights were terribly canted to where I could barely get on paper at 25yards and had a bunch of FTE, FTF, and even a round that exploded in the chamber and burned the crap out of my arm. (I know they have the lifetime warranty and they offered to fix it, but didn't want to deal with it.) Kept the Scorpion because it has run like a sewing machine.
With all that said, I'm still a PSA fanboy and am hoping to get rid of my Scorpion for a PSA5 at some point in the near future! |
|
I know its super early, and the first PSA-5 hasn't even been released yet, but do you have any plans to release prototypes or images of the scorpion mag and AR trigger version soon? I am really curious what it will look like.
|
|
I'm just here to say that I'm patiently waiting on the PSA5. Hopefully the cooperation between Magpul and PSA works out.

|
|
Got tired of waiting, bought a PTR 9CT. So there will be one less in line when they come out with the PSA 5.

Still no threaded muzzle? Something tells me that this is the same prototype gun from last year, recycled. Anyone have a photo from last year we can use to compare?

The welds don’t look bad. But I guess when it’s a one off you can take your time.

Look at the arf.com youtube vid.
Guy said it was the production model they were showing. I believe he said 3 lug adapter that could be removed them crush washer and muzzle device could be added if wanted Palmetto State Armory PSAK-E, PSA5, PS9 Dagger, PSA JAKL - SHOT Show 2020 |

What? I'd fire that guy if he's putting down production welds like that. I hope these firearms are put together better than the one at shot show, because if not? It's a pass for me. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Quoted: Which welds do you see that are bad? In the picture that was posted, the trunion weld looks good, the rear sight weld looks good. The picture is a little grainy so I’m not sure how you’d possibly see any imperfections in the weld. Just being edgy here? View Quote Edit: ok maybe that's a little brash. I would definitely do some training to develop better welding technique. I expect that with such a high dollar firearm. |

Have you ever seen a production line MP5 in person? View Quote Dude is expecting them to take the time to pull out a flapper disk and blend each and every weld on the gun? You won't even get that on a Pof or an HK mp5. These are coming off a production line, not 90 hour a piece 1-off builds in some dude's garage. From what I can see, the welds look fine to me. |

Definitely not a flapper disk, we need something a little more delicate here. Maybe a 3m deburring wheel. Absolutely, our take a few more minutes to make a quality looking weld. German, Pakistani or Turkish soldiers or security guys don’t pick up their issue MP5 and go “geez guys... this welder needs to go”. View Quote Right on. But it's not just the welds I'm critiquing. I'm still in the boat for one. Here's the article. Linky |

Any updates? I've got money burning a hole in my pocket and will be purchasing some sort of MP5 clone before the end of this month. |

I find it interesting that Magpul is totally silent on the MP5 parts they made up for this over a year ago. With the popularity and availability of this platform now, one would think they would be pimping these accessories as hard as they could.
I was doing some Googling of MP5 accessories and an old forum posting came up showing all the Magpul products for the MP5, but the link to Magpuls website was dead. Their ambi safety selector had my attention. Maybe all the feedback about their shit looking like ass made them start over?? |
