I have a question that has probably been asked before. Are all AR10 PSA uppers low profile? I have a gen 2 that measures .200” at the tail of the upper and I’ve read that the low profile uppers should measure 1/8” here.
I want to order a railed hand guard for my rifle but I don’t want to order the incorrect one. Thank you, |

Hey, Josiah, check your ims ? Thanks.

Josiah, When will Gen3 bare Uppers be available for those who want to build their own? |
|

FYI: the mailing you just sent about the Space Cannon lowers says they are Gen 3. Following the link from email or from the daily deals on the site say they are Gen 3.
However, copying the link to a friend over text I noticed the actual URL says Gen 2....might be confusing. Left cold: hxxps://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-gen2-space-cannon-pa10-308-complete-classic-lower-receiver.html Edit: autocorrect got me |

PSA fixed my Gen 2 PA10. No more bolt over travel issues. Runs steel case 100% now so far. Brass cased rounds still have some issues. I have an adjustable gas block that is pretty much almost closed and it still cycles steel well.

I purchased Gen 3 PA10 20" stainless free float upper and a EPT lower.
I started a thread in AR-15, AR- 15 variants. Maybe it was supposed to go here. Anyway, here is the link to that thread Long and short is it won't latch up pmags and the barrel has absolutely no shoulder for a suppressor. In the other thread I have a link to a photo of my barrel and also a link to the PSA Gen 3 video that shows a barrel with a beefy shoulder. The video even talks about being able to add a suppressor with ease due to the new adjustable block. But I don't see how that is possible without a shoulder. Any ideas? |

Sheesh. I was hoping for a good outcome on this thread but at this point I believe it's safer to go with something else.

Update:
Upper: Original issue I had was that there was no square shoulder behind the muzzle threads, it is just a small rounded step up and I do not think it is sufficient for a direct thread suppressor. PSA and I are agreeing to disagree on this after talking with them. I talked to silencerco and they informed me that there are adapters that go over the threads, tighten onto the muzzle instead of a barrel shoulder and then provide and extension with a shoulder for a suppressor to thread onto. I am going to pursue that rather than returning the upper because I still feel it is a good value with good features, but I need to make sure that my male barrel threads are longer than the female threads on the adapter so it bottoms out on the muzzle. Hughes precision and the silencer store are two places I found something like what silencerco mentioned. Lower: It did not like my Gen 3 pmags. I tried multiple 20 rnd mags and all of them did not latch without being hit hard from the bottom. On one mag, I did this repeatedly and it gouged the plastic out of the spot that was causing the problem and the magazine latches properly now. My 10 round magazine had the same latching issue, but could not be solved by hitting it hard. I know I could fix this by shaving the magazine plastic off and it would take me like 2 minutes to do, but ultimately it should not be like that and PSA agreed and wants me to send it in to see what is going on. |

I have a Gen 1 PA10, does anybody know of an OD Green 15" M-Lok rail that is compatible, lightweight, and good quality?
Thanks! |

I got my Gen 3 lower back from PSA. They removed some metal from the mag well where it interfered with the mag. Now they snap right in. Will be taking the first shots soon.

It is having an issue where it sometimes malfunctions by not ejecting and consequently ends up with the spent case on top of the next stripped cartridge jammed by the BCG (looks similar to a double feed). I believe gas is set correctly because when it runs, it runs awesome with strong 4:00 ejection. It always locks back on an empty magazine as well. I have been told by several folks with these rifles that they had sent them in and you guys installed stronger ejector springs and thicker Oring under the extractor. Can I just send in the BCG for this or could I just buy the parts (I'd be 100% happy to just buy the parts) I really do not want to send it in, take off my optic and switch my trigger back to stock and all of that. Rifle is under an an inch and I feel it will settle down and be a great shooter. ***Edited to add... After reading more here about a few folks with the same issue, it seems I just need a second Oring around my extractor spring, this was the fix the warranty repair techs did. I will try this first. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1588/13743270/24776623/414296518.jpg http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1588/13743270/24776623/414296517.jpg View Quote |

Josiah - Need some assistance from you. I have a PA10 factory built upper, PA10 Betsy lower and one of your carbine buffer kits. The 8"ish buffer tube came with a 3.25" H buffer and a 12" 36ish coil spring. This spring is way too big, like a rifle spring. Can you send me the CORRECT spring for this config? |

My only issue is the bolt catch is a tad too long and hits the top of the pocket on the upper but it still has enough room to send the bolt home. PSA is sending me a new one. I’ll have to take a close look to make sure it’s all good. I wanted to make sure it’s GTG before putting slr adj gas block on it and a few other tweaks. I’ll thumb through a few pages here to see what issues some have had. If anyone knows specific stuff feel free to throw it out there. So far I love this little blaster. It did kick way more than my POF revolution with a suppressor and tuned gas system...kinda expected. EDIT to add pics. I had not opened it up after shooting so I just went and looked. I had about 30 rounds through it but it all looks good to me I think. One slight rub mark in the upper right before the feed lips. It feels like the bcg hangs up on that spot when I drop the bolt back in. Can’t really see anything on the carrier...I guess that will just wear in as it gets shot. Is my gas tube long enough? Is there enough of a shoulder on the barrel to DT my suppressor? I didn’t measure the buffer tube or any of that, ran out of play time but it’s a 6 position tube so I’m assuming a ar15 style tube. https://i.imgur.com/L7HvXei.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nUcGXN6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YCgk1j9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/1JiuGzh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/r3VsAiR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YTvHSiF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/pjMfO3q.jpg View Quote As for the bolt catch... I radius'd mine on the back of where it contacts the upper... simple to do. T/U with a blackening product. Buffer tube should be a AR15 carbine length.... so a 2.5" 308 carbine buffer. FYI.. KAK makes a heavy 2.5" 5.4ish oz version. I have used Tubbs Flatwire 308 recoil springs in all my PA10 / 65's Not sure if the barrels shoulder is enough to direct thread... various companies sell "muzzle shoulder rings", but it would be up to you to decide if that is enough to keep your suppressor centered / aligned properly. Try burnishing the interior of the magwell with 0000 ( quad ought ) steelwool. And what mags do you have to slap in ? Magpuls ? |

When I sent a email about it they said they would send me a new one. I assumed maybe they changed it some...I’ll see what comes in and go from there. It’s not a big issue. Yea it seemed to run fine with the buffer setup that came with the pistol kit. I’ll pop it out and measure things but I’m sure it’s gtg. Yea no idea on the shoulder I’m pretty new to mounting cans so I’ll ask someone with more knowledge to take a look. It was magpul 20 round maybe gen 2? I think I only had to slap it in the first few times. They go in now pretty easy and click in unloaded with the bolt closed. I’ll see how that goes with some more run time. |

Got a gen2 PA10 upper and lower from you guys and am having feeding issues. Cost my son a wild boar on our hunt last night as I had to charge three times before it would fire. Casing is getting dented and cut. Read where this could be a mag issue but this seems more than that. Thoughts? |

Will send pm with pics. Does it with 2 different kinds of ammo which is all I've shot out of it so far. Only fired about 40 rounds thru it so far. It had one fail to fire with a light strike but I just thought I maybe soft charged it. Didn't notice the brass denting until today when I started trying to see what happened last night.
