I tried, I really tried!! Got to the door 3 times and it kept callin me back. Well, don't have a missing slot for a .308 any longer as it is now bein filled by a nice new shiny Panther .308. Wanted a long range rifle and opted for the semi-auto over a bolt this time around, just hope it performs;-) Hope to get out tomorrow to start the break in process..
BUT, I got couple of questions for you seasoned owners:
1. The first time I tried to pivot the upper down I had a heck of a time. It would move a 1/4" and then hang. All of a sudden I heard a "bong" and it opened right up. Could it have been the spring buffer hanging up on the lower part of the receiver? Do you usually need to depress that slightly? Didn't say anything about that in manual (yes I read it first)..
2. Ok I got this little stud to mount my bipod on but its in a plastic bag. Instructions tell you to drill a hole where you want it and mount it. Well that part is not problem but when it comes to AR type weapons, if you couldn't tell, I am a greenhorn... Again the manual is lacking a bit in this area, but how do you get the free floating forend off cause there is no way I am gonna be able to get the nut the sling stud without taking it off.
Sorry for the newbie questions but I figured this IS the place to ask...
Thanks in advance...
