stripping the carbines down for parts is what a few dealers are doing now.
The uppers I just bought were removed from the lowers and sold as just uppers. Dealers make a few hundred more that way. And yes the Brownells Colt complete lowers were as low or even a tiny bit lower than $189 using every discount possible. |

But with all of the variations I've seen in only 6 pages, who knows what the definition of factory rifle is. View Quote I remember when these socoms hit the market Charlie’s was trying to sell the VFG separately. It wasn’t until they got called out that they come with from the factory with one the description on the website changed. Hopefully you get a good one and the deal works out for you. |

Answer this question please:
Is there any possibility that Colt shipped any SOCOM 16 inch pinned RAS upper attached to a M4 (not M4A1) marked lower at any time? Possible or impossible? |

Or, they are mating CR M4 marked lowers with excess 2018 SOCOM uppers and calling it a factory rifle. Either way it is misleading. I couldn't like at myself in the mirror if I was running a business like that. |

The upper made its way onto a standard 6920 lower and is now trying to be sold off as a legit factory offering. |
|
This listing is also fishy. https://charliescustomclones.com/colt-m4-socom-block-1-carbine-rifle-2019-custom-14-5-pinned-barrel/
It is also trying to pass it off as a factory socom that had some furniture changed. This again is not a factory socom. It is either a factory 6920hbpw that has different stock and rail on it or a take off socom upper and 6920 lower. Either way it’s not a factory socom and may not be a factory rifle. |

So y'all are saying I need to cancel my order before they get my FFL info? This is what they changed the listing to after I drilled them. Not the one I "checked out" with, but the same one. View Quote |

$1499 for a frankenfuck gun. I am stealing frankenfuck, definitely my new favorite word. LOL
Colt M4A1 SOCOM Carbine, 2018/2019 with M4 lower
This is the 2018/2019 Colt M4A1 carbine rifle, in semi-automatic, without the US Government Property markings This rifle is the same as the LE6920 SOCOM, with a standard M4 receiver. View Quote Wow I would be ripshit mad If what i thought was a socom was showing up and a m4 carbine marked lower showed up. What a bunch of dirtbags. |

Quoted: As far as I am aware, no, Colt never shipped a m4 carbine lower with a pinned/welded socom barrel and a RAS on it. They did offer the 6920hbpw which was a m4 carbine marked lower with a pinned/welded socom barreled upper but that came with a regular set of m4 handguards. View Quote If I put M4 handguards on a M4A1 SOCOM upper and attached it to a M4 carbine lower, I would have a HBPW and it would be indistinguishable from a factory carbine. Even if the M4 marked lower has a CR prefix since a google search shows both LE and CR were used on the HBPW. I state indistinguishable, but of course a SN check with Colt would confirm it is something else. CORRECT? Oh wait.... what about the barrel date? What years were the HBPW made? I am not trying to make a fake, just trying to make something correct. |

has anyone tried to hit the hider spot weld on these with some cold blue?
not to hide the weld but to make it look better. |

Quoted: Barrel date is not indicative of anything associated with the period in which the rifle was manufactured. The date on a barrel is simply when that barrel was completed. Barrels could have set around for months before actually being used in rifle assembly. View Quote |

I would have them verify that it is also coming with the correct serial number matching box and all the accessories that should come with it.
It makes me wonder what kind of box the frankenfucked rifles come in. |

Quoted: the HBPW was discontinued. when i dont know. if the barrel date is newer than when it was discontinued your answer is incorrect. View Quote I just bought an HBPW. I assumed it was old stock but the SN places it as likely made this year as it is close to my SOCOM. |

Yeah they're going to get a fucked up phone call tomorrow bright and early. I want absolute verification or a refund. Don't care which. View Quote This time last year I ordered a NightForce 2.5-10 from Charlie’s, as they had the best price for them at the time unfortunately. It showed “in stock” when I ordered it. I received it 3 months later......during the time, I never could actually speak to anyone and during the online chats, I was getting excuses after excuses after excuses. I almost called my cc to put a claim on the charge and then all of a sudden I received an email that it shipped. How can something “in stock” take so long to ship? Only at Charlie’s. |

Quoted: hey, Colt OEM skeletons were available for $750, and KAC front sight gas blocks from Parts Unlimited for $350, but I cannot buy the former from anyone, and the latter now sells for $1,800 when you can find it. Whatever family you think I am associated with does not matter. I have never seen $189 full Colt lowers at Brownells, but if they were there "back in the day," the comment has nothing to do with today's market.
