UPS delivered my upper last night. I'm pretty sure I got the last one shortly after VSelph got his.
Upper #6 Box #3 Upper looks unfired, mag looks great also. Thanks AU. |

Box 25
Upper 11 Barrel 4-14 M203 SOCOM cuts present. 37mm Colt M203 mounts right up to it. Now I have to buy another M203 so I can put a unicorn on a unicorn because my other one already has a home. |
List on page 2 updated with latest two received.
It appears that may end reports of any further numbers to add to list. 25 is now believed to be total number made. With all the number information on the list, not one person has the ability to get their box from someone else. Thats strange! 2 people got their matching box. 6 uppers unaccounted for from the 16 AU sold. 9 uppers unaccounted for from the 25 assumed made. Total unaccounted for 15. |

I did some mag testing yesterday using my Windham 7.62X39 carbine. Its has proven 100% with CProducts mags in the past.
Colt 7.62X39 mag with 5 round limiter were 100% Colt 7.62X39 mag with limiter removed and loaded to 5 rounds were 100% Colt 7.62X39 mag loaded to 6 rounds were 75% est Colt 7.62X39 mag loaded to 7 rounds were 10% est Past 7 rounds were not even tested. I did load some up but it was visually clear it was a waste of time. |
The weld on my mag is broken so when I try to add four rounds it’s impossible to get the mag in the mag well. I ordered some C Product mags so I guess I’ll see how those function.

There is one upper on Gunbroker if anyone missed the chance.
Someones wife saw the credit card bill and said send it back or sell it I bet. LOL I love mine! I don't ever see me selling it. It is just too damn nice and too damn rare. |

I ordered what was described and delivered as a new Colt 5.56 6940 upper from AU. The strange thing was the Colt box has 5.56 India written on it. The upper is new with no stickers and the box is not numbered except for 5.56 India. It also has the same front sight as the 7.62 uppers pictured in this thread. I can’t post pictures but can send them to someone that can if you would like to see the box/upper.
I am completely satisfied but found it unusual to have India written on it. I also have not emailed AU to ask because I just opened the box and found this thread. Thanks |

Those uppers are from the India evaluation also. India was looking for a weapon system that would be able to fire 5.56 for some of its troops and be converted to 7.62x39 for others.
Nice grab. I am jealous! |
Can anyone tell me what the thread pitch and diameter is on the muzzle brake?
I have spoke to an individual that has upper #15 that is in box #7. It may be for sale soon.
The one minuteman is mentioning has come back available. Email [email protected] with your contact info to purchase it, we will not be relisting it on the website, price is $999 same as the others that sold. First email gets it.
If anyone wants the last 7.62x39 upper with 1x magazine included please email me with your contact info to do a phone order before we place it online for sale
[email protected] |
Yes I have one left, email [email protected] asking for it, provide your info for a call back and tell them Ronny sent you
Do these accept the C-Products 7.62 Magazines? Or only Colt specific designs?
Also, if my box doesn't match, ill post up the number to see if we can trade! |

Anyone looking to trade boxes lol? |

Quoted: I am shocked it didn't sell yet. View Quote I sold my HK45 and s few other guns, then I received all of my back pay the next day. My bills are covered for a few months out now. I may pull the listing and throw it back under my bed. |
I would just hang on to it unless you're really needing the money. Its rare enough where the value can only go up, selling at a loss just wouldn't be an option for me haha.
Want to sell any of those C products magazines? |
I'm happy with my upper, it would be nice to get the numbered box, but not going to kill me either way.
Ill be hanging on to this for a long time. Did I read somewhere that a user was going to make a post in some sort of Colt archives documenting these being sold? It would be nice to have an official reference for if/when I decide to sell. |

Anyone keeping these as "Collector's items" or "investments" might want to reconsider.
They're beyond difficult to sell, and with no supporting documentation from any legitimate source as to what these things are they retain no more value than a used PSA 7.62x39 upper. Arms unlimited took down the product page, Colt does not acknowledge the existence of these, and that leaves people like me in a rut unable to respond to allegations that I have a phony product on my hands. When times got hard it was one of the few items I expected to be able to recoup my money from. Boy was I wrong. I'd have been better off burning the money than buying this thing. Lesson learned, no more "rare" uppers for me. Especially ones that have been rode hard and put away wet. That said, at this point anyone considering a chop job or refinish might as well go ahead and do it. It certainly won't hurt the value of your "rare" "limited" undocumented upper IMO. |

Quoted: I have 3 other colt x39 uppers. They are accurate. Paired with good mags all of them Run flawlessly. View Quote |

Sorry, should have specified the two other uppers are sporter model uppers

Upper 15 Box 7 is up for sale on Armslist today.
I just noticed it. |
Yes sir, that's mine. Its a cool toy, but I will never shoot it and I need the money for other things.
My damn tastes change way too often. |
Not sure if this is kosher, and don't want to stomp on somebody else's sale....but I'm willing to sell mine for substantially less than I paid. Email/PM for details.

A small update for guys interested in the India evaluation program.
I have about 80% of the text done for my Colt India evaluation article. A couple of tidbits for you in regards to the evaluation rifles.... 1. A complete evaluation weapon set was one 5.56mm rifle with one 7.62x39mm upper receiver. 2. Troy Battle Rail covers were used on some of the rifles. 3. ASC 30 round 7.62x39mm magazines were used for the trials. 4. Trials were 2014. More details will be found in my article which will be published in the Colt Collectors Association magazine. Publication quarter hasn't been set yet. |
A couple of more pieces for the Colt India evaluation project showed up today. One more item, a foregrip, left to receive in the coming days.
