We aim to please all our customers, instead of supplying a single customer with 4 barrels, we felt getting 4 customers one barrel a piece made more sense...
You happen to be in a state out of the CONUS which is a little out of the way, sorry that USPS shipping takes a little while longer to where you are located, your barrels are enroute they shipped last week along with every other customer who ordered multiple M203s. Quoted: So essentially you give the people who spend the most money with your company the worst service? Good to know my $8000 order wasnt high on your priority list. Still no barrels. View Quote |

But being in alaska he probably needs all four m203s for those crazy Kodiak bears.
Question, what 40mm round is best for charging grizzly bear? |

View Quote Priority Mail does not take longer to arrive in Alaska than anywhere else. You say they were shipped last week but your customer service rep said they were shipped Monday. Which is it? Priority Mail takes 3 days (even to AK). Today is Thursday... still have not arrived. Making it 7 days by your claim and 4 days by your customer service claim. Of course when I asked for a tracking number...crickets. If they don't arrive tomorrow you can enjoy my chargeback. |

According to this tracking number they were delivered to the billing address you used for your order on March 26th. USPS 9405511699000352963551
You file a chargeback on firearm receivers and you can enjoy a theft of firearms report filed against you. |

Since the M203 is a serialized receiver the shipping address on every order was the address of an FFL. When barrels were shipped they were shipped to customers billing address. This was most likely their home address and done to save customers a trip to their FFLs and to prevent barrels randomly showing up at FFL shops getting lost or whatever else may happen.
EVERY single customer had the barrels shipped to their home billing address. Customers who were inquiring about the status of their barrels were told the barrels will ship direct to their homes (billing address) as soon as they began shipping unless they wanted them shipped elsewhere. |

Not paying for an item and taking possession of one is called theft, whether you did it by doing a chargeback or walking out of a store with it. When it is a non-firearm you're right, probably a civil matter because police won't bother with it. When this is done with firearms you can file a report of a stolen firearm with ATF and the local PD of where you shipped the firearm.

You just like arguing for the sake of it. We obviously would have liked everything with this particular offering to go smoothly, not everything always goes according to plan. We operated based on the situation we were given and the majority seems pleased. If you really have such a problem with us why do you buy from us? Go to any of the other dealers who offer Colt M203s...thats right you can't because we are the only ones who fight to make these deals happen.

When you have 100 people who are waiting for items they paid for but that item is coming in spurts would it make sense for 1 person to receive their item or 10 people...they all paid the same amount as far as we are concerned. If the one guy who bought 10 didn't buy them, 10 individuals would have each bought one anyway. We didn't put a limit on what people can buy, not communism. View Quote |

If you skipped a guy who ordered three 9" barrels so you could ship 3 other guys the one 9" barrel they each ordered after the first guy, then that first guy was punished.
Maybe I misunderstood, and this hasn't occurred? |

People who ordered duplicates mostly ordered a few of each models, this is why their orders took the longest to complete.
If it didn't happen to you, why inquire? Quoted:

Are you suggesting I should not be asking questions on the firearm discussion forum where you chose to discuss and sell your products?
Real classy. |

Thanks AU for offering these unique Colt items. Please keep them coming. I will keep buying.

Not one apology from Arms Unlimited let alone any kind of offer or attempt of resolution.
Then again I am not surprised. |

***EDIT***
Answered my own question with a bit of searching. I’ll leave it here in case somebody else has the same question. It turns out that the M4 profile barrel should have some flats milled out of it to allow the M203 receiver to slide over it. Despite mine being a Colt barrel it does not have them. I looked at a couple other M4 profile barrels I had laying around and they do not have them either. Guess I need to find another barrel that does or switch out the front hand guard cap on one of my LW profile barrels from a full round to one that has M203 cuts. ***END EDIT*** On another more technical note... Anybody mount one of these on a SOCOM barrel profile? The opening on the top rear of my M203 receiver is not wide enough to fit over the SOCOM profile barrel. Am I doing something wrong? The only way I could possibly get it to mount would be to knock off the FSB and hand guard retainer then slide it down over the barrel and then remount the FSB which seems like a stupid thing to do. I thought these were made to fit the SOCOM profile but seem to recall these were foreign contract overruns so were they made to a different spec or something? |
|
Yeah, Colt's commercial 16" SOCOM barrel does not have the M203 relief flats, unfortunately. They could be machined, or some have gone through the pain of sliding the M203 receiver on from the very front, then re-pinning the FSB (or gas block), although personally I think that's a bit ridiculous.
If you find a milspec 14.5" SOCOM barrel, it will have the relief cuts for M203 mounting. |
|
I finally got around to assembling and mounting mine this weekend. It mounted up nicely to my 14.5" Colt Socom upper. I will snap a photo and update later. Thanks again AU.

Problem is I don’t want to SBR it as it’s on a Colt M4 roll marked lower and I don’t want a pinned FH as I want to be able to run my thread on .223 can on it.
I want my cake and to eat it too! |

Was just on the website looking to buy more shit and see there are still quite a few launchers remaining ..
That many people backed out after ordering ?? |
|
No, there were some returns because dealers would not accept the transfers for their customers basically not understanding the items are not NFA. And some bulk dealer sales were canceled at direction of management and put back for individual sales

Does anyone have a source for the front mount bracket that isn't $99 for a piece of spring steel and two asbestos rings?
AU is sold out and I can't find anywhere that sells the front mounting bracket for a reasonable price. |
