Brian,
This gentleman is selling Troy rail covers for $10 a set. I think they are the same thing. I have no affiliation with him, but it seems like a pretty good price for a set of three. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=25&t=788150&light= Best Regards, |

Hey, thanks for the heads-up! At that price I really can't lose. I just ordered a set. I can't wait to give 'em a try.
Thanks again! |
|
|
The covers came yesterday and I'm diggin' 'em. Thanks!

I bet it was a bad, low powered tula round that hit its target at about 50 yards and came straight back and bitch slapped Shawn in the face. |

Was wondering if someone could Measure their 6940 for me. Specifically the complete upper from charging handle to the end of the flash hider. looking to get an ultrasonic cleaner, and currently out of town. thanks if someone could help.

For those that have the 6940, how much lighter is the gun compared to a 6920 with aftermarked rails?
Is it worth getting the 6940 or should I get the 6920 and add rails? With the 6920 I can modify it more, or am I wrong??? |

Finally got mine yesterday, date on barrel 09-09, date on birth bag 09-10, called colt with S.N. left factory 2 weeks ago 05-11? Den40 I think 6940 spec sheet says 6.8lb, spec sheet for 6920 says 5.65lbs but I'd bet thats w/o carry handle
can anyone else post the barrel date stamp and birth bag date curiousity overload. will post pics when optics planet opmod gets here. |

I'm thinking of ordering a SP6940 upper from Colt's website. Are the uppers backordered? If so, how long will it take for me to receive the upper? Thanks!

No idea and no idea. You're probably best off calling Colt.

Yeah, the LE6943 is going to be 11.5" and use a government profile barrel instead of the lightweight barrel like the LE6933. It's a factory SBR and I want it.

Nope. Clyde's is the only place I have even see the gun. And they have it in stock...
Buy the gun, sell the lower. Would be cheaper than buying an upper by itself anyway. I imagine the 6944 has the M4LE marked factory SBR lower. Those can easily be sold for $500-$600 usually. Some people get $900-$1k for them. de-registered of course. |

I wouldn't pay $900-$1000 for it, but I could probably swing your first price range. If there is anyone out ther with a M4LE lower, please let me know via a message. |

I was getting a 6940 from ratworxusa.com today (local to me) and pretty sure they have these lowers for sale.
