I’m really happy with how it turned out. I’m usually not a fan of restored guns but this one was such a train wreck, I don’t think it hurt anything. Funny thing is, I have another one in almost the same condition that was made 7 days later and is just a couple of hundred serial numbers off. I’m collecting correct parts for it also and will send it to Turnbull someday. I think they’ll make a great pair. Unfortunately, early first gen 7-1/2” 45 barrels are harder than hell to find. |

That is incredibly awesome! How much does something like that cost? What's the story behind it?

The brake is a PWS which is great because it reduces muzzle flip really well, works with the KAC QDSS-NT4 and brings the barrel length to 16"+ when pinned on a 14.5" barrel (Yes, I ordered a LE6921 and pinned the brake and removed it from the registry.) Bought it from a friend a couple years ago who was a dealer back in the 1980's. He decided to thin the herd. They go for $25,000/30,000. He sold it to me for a friend's price. It's in my family trust now. It's circa late 1970's/early 1980's.

Nice collection Mister_Donut. Are the lowers actually Colt Canada or custom engraved?

I have a 901 and they’re great. I put ssa-e l, surefire socom brake and a Trijicon accupower 3-9 on mine. It’s a very accurate gun with hornady 168 amax.
