I have a friend of a friend who bought a Bushmaster years ago and has never made the time to take it out. We took it out yesterday to get the barrel broken in and the rifle zeroed. We went through the barrel break-in procedure as described on Bushmaster's web site and started firing groups for zero.
The picture below is the very first 3rd group (me as shooter) fired out of the rifle. Weather was partly cloudy with low humidity and a slight breeze. Rifle is Bushmaster 20" flattop with a free-floated aluminum handguard. Ammo was 1986 SA Surplus (300rd battlepack). All shooting was done via iron sights at 50yds.The RifleThe GroupEdited to add:
