Just bought a XM15 E2 24" A2 style. My first BM I already own another AR with green furniture? I was wondering how your A2 sight fits to the handle? Mine is NIB and compared to the other one I own the fit is real sloppy.I mean I can turn the whole assembly side to side. I can put the cover to a book of matches between the sight assy. and the handle plus some. I have not fired the rifle yet and plan to call BM on monday. I was just curious if anybody else has had the same problem? It sure does not look right? B.B.
If you are concerned with the fit of the rear sight or have windage issues because of the movement, give Customer Service a call & they'll make arrangements with you to get it back here for evaluation 1-800-883-6229 ( Cheryl or Ron)
Thanks Jarrod. I did call BM Tuesday I belive? I am sorry I did not get the name of the gentelman I talked with. After the call I did not care to ask again. He told me as long as the windage was not over 19 clicks BM was not going to repair it or just because I thought it was loose. Well I told BM as I stated in in my post I have not fired the rifle yet. The only mention of sending it back was if the windage was 19 clicks or better and that the sight is made to be that loose. Well I only own one other AR and have seen many others, But the sight on this one is sloppy. I will try so shoot it this weekend and see how it does. I have to tell you I was very dissapointed with the way the call was handled. Everybody has a bad day once in a while I guess. Thanks BB
I had the same concern with mine. I didn't remember any issued M-16 having that much play. I talked to Jarrod and he told me I must be mistaken and had carried an A-1. I was insulted. I do know the differences between A-1s and A-2s. I hope it was just a bad day for Jarrod. I'm not saying anything negative about BM, but I haven't had the "great customer service" that everyone raves about. It's too bad that the individual consumer is irrelevant.
