It is a great can.
Quiet. Great price. Zero complaints.
But I am starting a PRS Gas Gun build. Is a 51 tooth mount going to introduce a variable if I am looking for MOA to 800-900 yards with 73-75gr ELD handloads from a 22-24 inch barrel?
When I see cans on PRS builds they are largely direct thread. I assume that is for a reason.
Do you guys have any testing info on this?
This is not a complaint at all. I love my 556SD. I shoot the hell out of it on a 11.5 pistol and a 16 carbine. Have used it to introduce numerous new shooters to NFA awesomeness. I recommend your cans highly. Just curious if I should look at a direct thread option or just stick with a muzzle brake.
It's already going to be a heavy bastard with a heavy-ish 22 or 24 inch barrel so the point may be moot. Handling characteristics of a 24" plus can would probably suck a big floppy one.
