The safety seems more AI to me. All the way forward is fire, middle is safe trigger, can use the bolt, all the way back is locked bolt. It actually feels like the safety is physically pulling the striker back. The wood stocked version looked to be an internal magazine, not mag fed. Also good news, word on the street is they’d be looking to sell just barreled actions, along with the wood stocked variety. View Quote Now for an inletted wood stock version for dbm |

Question since i don't know a thing about bolt guns: if they sell barreled actions, is there anything else one would need to buy to put said action into an ax chassis other than the chassis? Looking at 300NM hopefully

I don’t know how to embed Instagram pictures but Mark just posted a picture of barreled actions on IG. Let the drooling begin.

I really hope these are happening soon, would love a $ figure and timeframe to get things prepared and in order for when they drop!

Is this the first year the Siete has attended, or just the first year it came both naked and clothed in walnut

First year in wood stock. It was there 3 or 4 years ago in an AI chassis. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Mark,
Would you be willing to give us a release timeframe hint? Are we looking at days, weeks, months or years? |

I’m going to be in the market for a magnum caliber for a moose and bear hunt in Canada later this year. Could probably get by with a 260 but would rather have the extra oomph and bullet weight of a 300-something.
I’d be interested to see some weights and stock options. Wood would be alright, but I’d rather do a McMillan hunter style or similar so I don’t feel as bad when I beat it up. Here’s to hoping magnums are released by early summer to allow a couple weeks for fulfillment and testing in time for a September/October hunt. |

View Quote I will also buy a wood stock, but I'd like something I can beat up as well. I suppose thats why we saw those barreled actions. It would be nice to order it mounted by Larue factory. Seems like that would be easy to do and profitable. I know for a fact places like GAPrecision keep some stocks on hand, but mostly custom order stocks for their customers after they have your money. This delays build times but you can order it precisely as you want (for a fee, of course). |

Can we all start guessing cost.
I'm at 1600 to 1900, don't expect it to be north of 2100 max |
|
Since they aren't battle proven, I'd say barreled action around $700-900. Whole gun with wood stock around $1150

What are the chances this thread falls silent until SHOT 2019?

This is where there's an awkward silence ... with nobody quite sure where to go to get you there.

Sorry Mark. I didn’t mean to offend or get under your skin. I will stay posted and not press for any additional release timing details. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Quoted: I'm going to go in a different direction. I'll speculate Mark is going to send some out to his trusted crew for testing and feedback, then the meticulous engineer in him will incorporate suggestions to make the rifle even better. Of course, I hope I'm wrong and they come out soon! View Quote |

So, maybe the first wave is going to coincide with the upcoming BuildAR quarter?

I have a trip to Kodiak later this year and would enjoy hauling a Woody Siete Magnum up there when I go... Not likely me thinks...but I can always hold out hope... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Anyone know if the tranquilo would be ok on a 300 NM if Mark releases these in this caliber as it sounds like he might.
