Any chance of a LaRue inspired Siete logo hat...
Use the same hat but maybe just the LaRue signature and Texas outline logo? |

I’ve been holding out for a nice bolt action for a number of years... This ought to work. I can always add glass to the things that need it, provided LaRue stops making things I have to have.

Those barrels look nice and cleanly machined. Was hoping for a bread crumb such as a caliber stamp, no luck.

I came up with that product line back in the 80s and approached Williams-Sonoma about it. W-S did a test market in 10 of their stores and not long after we were machining and shipping them by the Semi truckload. We had the Lighthouse For The Blind help us package and box them. It was a fun period in the shop. But alas, all good things must come to an end. |

I hope my Siete comes with a “Blade Saver” cutting board. An extra large would be a must have for my Big Green Egg!

Mark, what are the odds a Siete shows up on Monday's Range day? Asking for a friend...

Is the divorce sale list still going to happen? Hope I get lucky for just once.

Timney triggers huh? Was really looking forward to MBT-3 or something! That’s okay though if it gets them out the door! Drop in trigger later!

Well we officially know one caliber it is being offered, let's hope there are more. I love 260, but I am hoping for something a touch bigger

My father has invited me to his final (3rd) trip to South Africa to hunt big game next year, is there anything 375 H&H or bigger?
I’m considering forgoing my 762UU/Siete in 6.5cm in lieu of buying him a big game caliber to replace his Ruger M77 he plans on taking. He’s been looking for the factory matching rings for over 3 years. I’m thinking a new Siete LA , LT rail and rings holding his Leupold, would be much cooler in the pic with a Cape Buffalo, than a Ruger m77 with mismatched rings. Ps - I can’t afford this hunt, so I’ll be with him as photographer and videographer. |

hmm, this is going to make it hard as I'm wanting this for a new hunting rifle and trying to settle on a caliber. Lugging the FDE Heavy up and down mountains down on the border got a little tiring after five days. View Quote The wood stock looks great, Now I just need to decide if I want to go 260 rem, or 6.5 CM... Loving all the updates lately Mark! |

The calibers floated and the wood stock has definitely peaked my interest...wasn't all that excited until I saw the timber version.

Will it come with a scope base by chance? Maybe a deal for a Base & rings?
|

Mark, by giving the people what they want do you mean opening up the list to include some the magnum rounds previously mentioned? 7RM, 300 WM or NM, etc?

Looking to replace my .270, really like the caliber, it puts out about as much kick as I am comfortable with. Any Siete caliber suggestions?

300 NM sounds like a viable candidate. For a do it all hunting round that would be suitable for elk on a 400 yard shot. Out here close shots are not going to be as common on some of the game in some areas of the state.
Will my tranquilo that is currently in jail be rated for 300 NM pressures? |

Thanks for the info. 90 % of the time I will be running around with a .223 or .308 AR cleaning up hogs and deer in Texas at <100 yds. I use the .270 for hunting a particular wide open stand (200yd to 400yd) that the larger hogs frequent. I also switch up to the .270 when I get a chance to hunt Whitetail in Kansas, or Mulies and Elk in Idaho. I really like how flat shooting the .270 is and like I said before I can put quite a few rounds down range and not get trigger shy of the recoil.
300 nm is 300 Norma mag? Ian |

Ian View Quote The NM is a cool round, but also a couple steps up in recoil. From my experience 6.5CM and .308 feel the same. .270 has a bit more recoil but is still pretty mild. 300 WM thumps and the charts I’ve read put NM in the same league. Here are a couple of links: Recoil Discussion 1 Recoil Chart - Multiple Rifle Calibers |

Interested in a Siete in 6.5 CM and 300 NM. I am thinking 6.5 CM in wood and the 300 NM in a chassis.
