Basically with the nfa item you tell larue where to ship it and then you and your dealer take it from there. There is a 200 tax stamp for the suppressor and usually the dealer charges you a 100 charge for storage and paperwork. Good luck Pete View Quote |

True it won't be fun to shoot without the can but it can at lest be shot. This is why I wouldn't mind a 16+" sparrel to use in the meantime. With the lack of response on sub-MOA .300 one would have to assume it's a NO, same as the chrome BCG But is sub-MOA that important on a usually hand held (rather than bench rested) SBR? I'd think accuracy would be pretty good. View Quote |

The SUURG can will screw onto any TranQuilo brake. So no word if larue will make rail panels for the keymod UU kits??
|
|
Quoted: Larue ships to your dealer and you and your dealer do the form 4. As stated before, normally they charge $100 to do it for you. View Quote One last question, since the dealer initiates the paperwork, I assume that it won't get submitted until the suppressor is received by the dealer? |
|
Yes you have to wait to initiate the paper work till the suppressor is in hand and have the serial number. You will also need fingerprints and passport photos

Anyone have a good link on how to do this as an individual? What’s exactly needed since the new rules? Been close to 10 yrs since I have bought a suppressor.

Not to ask toooooo much but I saw the 308 suppressed on your Instagram... would the SURG be able to attach to a large frame 308 one day?

They have a kiosk. I didn’t think you could use it if the suppressor wasn’t purchased through the silencer shop? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

...Same here....Went with their One Shot Trust and used the kiosk and app....Very, very easy even for a NFA virgin like me.....

Quoted: Since it fits on a 300 blackout and the 300 blackout works with the normal Tranquillo brake and supressor.i would say if you wanted the surge to fit on a 308 all you would need is the proper 300 blackout threaded muzzle device. Are you thinking a 11.5 308,260 or 6.5 creed? View Quote Honestly the 308 to me would be the most intriguing just as a fun gun. |

My dealer has access to this. How would that work? LT ships to Silencershop?

My recommendation would be spend the $5 and use an FFL that uses the silencershop kiosk. It’s very easy. https://www.silencershop.com/form-4-tax-stamp.html Use the kiosk for fingerprints and the phone app for the picture. Upload trust if using one. Silencershop takes care of the rest and submits everything once you sign digitally. When suppressor becomes freed by governmental approval go pick it up and pay the FFL their transfer fee. |

Mark, what's the verdict on chrome vs parked BCG?
Your video from SUURG 1.0 and the first photo on the product page show the test units with chrome/NiB type finish, so I'm hoping that's what we'll see included with the Early AdoptAR package since we are all jumping on board on the front end of the roll out. I guess parkerizing will get the job done but it's nice to have that little twinkle of chrome happiness shining as the dust cover pops open. Edit: Fixing the iPad auto edits and lag. |
|
^^^ +1 on chrome bcg
Also that LT Texas logo on the chrome bolt is a must |
|
I don’t quite have the coin saved up to do a SUURG upper right now. A friend had been on the fence about his first AR. We looked at several uu kits and then I got this email. Needless to say I’ve hooked another one in. He ordered a 300 blackout SUURG upper last night.

^^^^^ Come on and spill the beans. Doubt you want to start a caliber debate but not many people have had real world experience shooting 6.5g vs 224v vs 300BO vs 556 in a suppressed SBR. Without getting into dB battles can you make any qualitative comments in how they behave in relatively confined spaces? Already have a 12" OBR with SOCOM can. Tempted to try 6.5G or 224V but not much out there in real world SBR experience beyond your testing. Also nice to know sparrels will be available. Are the can and burn guard black on black uppers? View Quote |

Quoted: Not a huge amount of difference between 6.5G/556/300BLK when using supers as far as I can tell. View Quote https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/-/121-691935/?#i7130526 |

I've never done a suppressor purchase but I think this will be my first. Do I want to go the individual trust route or just do an individual route? I don't have any plans for a SBR. Was thinking about maybe a Tranquillo .308 suppressor one day but if this can do the job of the Tranquillo then maybe this could be my one AR suppressor for my different calibers.
