You mean buy another barrel and swap it out? I'd still be waiting on a tax stamp. My original plan was to buy a 14.5 or 16" barrel to use with this upper and lower while I wait for the can. With the burn guard attachment and the short rail on this thing it would look 'different' with a longer barrel so I just built a different upper with a Larue 14.5" barrel and an SLR hand guard. Currently using it on a lower that is already SBR'd. https://i.imgur.com/4alCjSa.jpg Can't help being critical/sarcastic about lack of shipping the can with not a word from you know who. Almost 4 months from ordering and not a peep. We all know there will be another 8ish month wait. "eff you, we already got your money". I'm sure that's not his real sentiment but it sure feels that way at times. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I hear ya, it was a bit frustrating that we could only get these P&W as I would gladly pay for it to be done later to allow for use on one of my SBR'd lowers or a pistol lower while waiting for the suppressor stamp. A blast shield would also be an acceptable alternative. |

No suppressor yet. Checked the order status before getting home and it had gone from completed to guns GTG

My SUURG kit arrived Friday. Very cool. Stuck the upper onto my well-used PredatAR lower to get a feel for the handling of it and I really liked it. Hopefully the lower I ordered ships soon so I'm not too tempted to assemble it onto one of my non-Larue lowers...
Has anyone had their suppressor ship/start form 4 process yet? Id be a lot more patient on that part if the damn ATF didnt take a year to do their part... (I know its supposed to get better, I'll believe it when I see it). Thanks again to Mark for putting together a really solid setup for a great price (especially for us that got in on the early adopter sale). Ive beat the crap out of my Larue rifles over the years and they never fail me. |

I have my 5.56 SUURG upper and lower, but no movement on the can (ordered January 2nd). The order status has been "NFA-Pending" for a while, despite a couple of the major suppressor dealers reporting Form 3 approvals within 2-14 of submission.
This 20%-off Early AdoptAR Sale goes through midnight January 7th. We will be hitting your credit card when you place the order ... we are predicting 8-12 weeks to get your upper to you and to start the suppressor transfer paperwork. We are hellbent on this being your favorite project. View Quote |

1/4 order black 5.56 received Friday.
Of course no suppressor in sight. I guess 2019 :-/ |

I called and asked for another update and they are not able to say anything other than it's in production.
I asked about a refund and that's very doable if it's unfired and not damaged in anyway, just need to call and get an RMA form e-mailed to you. I'm going to think on it for a couple more weeks. Would love to have this upper completed but all that money that has been paid upfront and no ETA plus the NFA wait has me rethinking the SURG and Larue in general. |

It is the "hey pay me now we will get it to you in a mouth or so (2 weeks lol ) " then the time frame comes and goes and then almost doubles and still nothing... and then still having to wait on the form 4.. that is what would get me... But hey I have no money in this current situation .. just addressing your comment |

I've just chosen to forget about it at this point. Ordered a 300blk in FDE literally minutes after the original email was sent. Something has clearly disrupted production or some other unforeseen issue. It would be nice to get an update, even if it was letting everyone know that its going to be months until these orders are filled. I would have liked to know up front too that there would be delays based on caliber. The original message gave a general time frame to turn them around, implying that all the options would take the same time but to date only 5.56 have been spotted in the wild.

Quoted: I ordered the same setup and have not heard or seen anything. View Quote Still no lower that I ordered minutes after I ordered the upper. I had a conversation w/ LaRue CS a couple days ago. He said that when they originally posted they thought they'd get a couple hundred orders but got over a 1,000 and that is what is causing delays, especially for the suppressor. He verified none of the suppressors had shipped and there was no estimate on when they would . He also said that, and we've seen it on the forum, a number of people are cancelling their orders given the 8 to 12 week "estimate" on the upper and suppressor. I thing we are on week 19 or 20 now... And I believe the website still says "8 to 12 weeks". If I didn't already have the upper I likely would have cancelled as well. All I've heard of is 5.56 uppers shipping. Wondering if they are doing them in some sort of shift to minimize set up time, presumably on the barrel making piece. So get a bunch or all of the 5.56 done before moving to .224 and 300BLK. |

It would only make sense that they are producing the barrels in batches.
Like a hundred of each and rotate, but who really know how they are doing it. |

I waited for my obr
I waited for my first tobr I waited on more tobrs I waited on tranquillos I' waited on the suurg upper I waited on the suurg lower I'm waiting on the suurg supressor All have been worth the wait because of how they shoot. I also like dealing with American companies that don't raise their prices every time there is a buying panic and support the sport and the military the way Larue does.sure I would love a update as to when the suurg supressor will ship. I know they exist as I held one at the shot show. So for ill just put the suurg away and forget it,worst case scenario is since I built the lower as a pistol with a sig brace,I guess I'll just have to swap out the barrel for one with a Tranquillo brake and start shooting it. Maybe if I send mark a picture he would send me the heat shield. Good news for me is I have 1 or 2 other guns to tide me over till it gets here Pete |
