Didn't Sig already try the pinned 'muzzle brake' and got slapped down by the ATF? Echoing question from above, what barrel length is getting 2700fps? What rifling twist is used in these barrels? View Quote |

Yes, but their design was basically a suppressor without the tube, which they called a brake. This appears to be more like an actual brake that's really long and the ports will dump into baffles rather than including them itself. With the share act it would not have been an issue. The tube could be the keystone part. Let's not give up on the HPA. We need to keep the pressure on the reps and push back. It will take more time now, yes. The left never gives up we sould not ether. Chipped in an extra $100 NRA on Monday, already a benefactor member. Know what you mean. There is the GOA to. Lifetime in the TSRA. Problem is you can't legislate against crazy. You know how much ammonium nitrate and diesel fuel they sell at the local farmers co-op? Email all my congressman will be praying a lot on this one.

What's the likelihood we'll see the SURG (with that pinned brake, eliminating the need for the SBR stamp) in 300blk?

I wonder what the special introductory price will be.
I was just starting to build my 12 inch Grendel from the faxon group buy. I'd rather just have a SURG. |

Riddle me this - what part will have the serial number for the tax stamp? Will it be the tube?
In which case - could this work on multiple uppers with the pinned/welded brake?? Asking for a friend ETA - It got me thinking because on my Optimus the tube is the serialized part and the rest is modular... |

Shit..... I'm two more paydays savings away from the LaRue Grendel........ Now this shit.......
Great. 224 V Looks great on my ballistics calculator. ..... I guess the question is should I wait for the 224 Valkyrie or just jump off the bridge and go into 6.5 grendel? I've wanted an integral 16 for so damn long. Finally. |

Please put some .224 Valkyrie barrels up for sale.
I'll swap out the barrel on my 6.8 and let you know how it holds up as a CEC ( Coyote Eradicating Caliber). I already have magazines, a bolt, and plenty of brass I can convert. |

Oh wow, for you folks looking to get into the Valkyrie, DSG has Magpul M3 30rd PMags in 6.8.
https://dsgarms.com/lwrl04-0038c01 That would go with the SURG like peanut butter and jelly. |

Which I wish LaRue would emulate. The Six8 receiver set is a different animal. Not just the lower, but the upper too, in order to be able to fit the thicker feed lips into the top portion of the magazine well formed by the upper receiver. Knights and MGI both discovered the same problem with the 7.62x39 ARs that were meant to take AK mags, so totally new receiver sets had to be made. It really comes down to how important and critical is it for the customer to feed from a PMAG. The Six8 PMAG is also a lot wider and longer, similar to a 25rd 7.62 PMAG, but with shorter COL. It's an option for the Six8 receiver set if a polymer 30rd magazine is a deal-breaker for the consumer. |
