Anyone have any UDE lower shipping info? My FFL said on Monday that they got an e-mail about my UDE lowers but my account order info hasn't changed. So they shipped...maybe? order #532XXX 9/12/17 1 big UDE 1 small UDE |

My blk small frame shipped yesterday, order date, 12/4.
UDE small frame, order date 9/12 still listed as “Lowers” on the invoice page of the old system. You guys that have gotten a small frame UDE, what does /did your invoice page say? Was there any indication that it shipped? I’m hoping that the blk & UDE both shipped yesterday. |

Well, as usual, something HAD to go wrong with my lower assembly. It was all going swimmingly until I got to the bolt catch roll pin. Short version: I managed to kill the pin. (I'm actually pretty surprised and a little disappointed LaRue is still using a roll pin for this application when most other large frame AR makers have gone over to a screw.)
So, just to verify, standard 3/32" x 1/2" roll pin here? For that matter, I guess this is an opportunity to throw on an enhanced bolt catch of some sort, so is the LaRue large frame lower compatible with standard AR-15 bolt catches? |

View Quote Eyeballing it, it appears to be. Be mindful of the groove on the upper for the bolt catch. I bought a Forward Controls Design bolt catch to use on my large frame upper and it won't fit without modification to the catch (Works on the small frames though). I went back to the LaRue supplied one and used the FCD catch on another build. |

Always used the vice grips method on my AR-15s and it has worked well enough that I never got around to getting a proper starter punch. Tried to use a regular pin punch. Got it started OK, enough that I was able to take my finger off the bolt catch, but only just barely and further efforts mushroomed and eventually bent the pin. Need more Banner and less Hulk in my tool kit, I guess.

How is it people with higher order numbers are getting their lowers before lower order numbers with the EXACT same lower?
160 days and still waiting. ETA: and with later purchase dates? |

Don't give up hope. Patience is a virtue that is hard to maintain especially when it comes to something you want intensely. I ordered a small UDE on 9/14 ( #53382* ) tracking says it will be here tomorrow. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

It's just a theory, but it's possible that if your FFL was lackadaisical about sending their info to LaRue, someone who ordered after you but had an FFL that was Johnny on the spot, or perhaps already on file, might end up in the queue ahead of you. With the information available to us, though, I doubt we'll ever know for sure.

Im under the impression that products are produced in batches so if you order at the tail end of the completion of the current run you may wait a couple more months for delivery and might receive it unexpectedly as it seems to me that the UPS notification gizmo has been spotty at best (maybe it's a glitch at Larue- IDK).
It is very possible that I am totally FOS on this one but consider it as a possibility as I am a reasonable, sane (as far as I can tell) and averagely intelligent person. And this is the internet. |

Ordered small UDE on 9/23, this is ridiculous... I ordered a small UDE on 9/14 ( #53382* ) tracking says it will be here tomorrow. I still haven't gotten any shipping email from LaRue. The only reason I found out mine had shipped was because I made a change to my order and LaRue updated my order history. I checked it before I emailed the request for a change and the status was Lowers and after it changed to complete. The tracking number on my order history says the lower was shipped out last friday. |

Right. Could understand that theory if there were piles of them waiting to go out the door back in September. But what difference would that make when they’ve been at the “painters” for 5 months? None were ready up until recently, then wouldn’t it make sense to fill orders chronologically. An order is an order. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

View Quote I only go to my counter-top FFL maybe once or twice a year. Im really not sure what they are expecting me to do. My billing phone # and my shipping phone # on my account are different, so I have no idea which LT is gonna give on my order info. I dont think Ive ever complained in this forum before, but Im sorry I expected this would be handled better. |

If you log into your Larue account you can see your orders and any shipping info/tracking info.
